They went with the trendy decor vibe and want people to come for girls nights, to take pictures etc. I think they have a little ways to go on the drinks, they were just a little cheap looking for a place that wants everyone to take pictures of everything and be a cute "Instagram spot" food was ok it was just like regular catered party food

Visited Dallas Proper on Feb 8 to check out the "hottest new cocktail bar". Sat at the bar with a friend and got two appetizers and drinks. Food was actually quite tasty, but the drinks were average for a cocktail bar. Grasshopper Gin is pretty tasty though. 1. I showed them an offer they had on their IG which was $5 for the first drink. When my card was charged, they didn't honor this and instead gave me $14 in cash as a "return"...(There were 4 of us, but I didn't argue about this) 2. I had one card on file + sat at the bar and they charged me a 20% gratuity?!? without warning or being told. So, when I look at my complete bill, I've paid about 33% tip, for average service. 3. Also apparently my card was cloned - because on March 4 there is a fresh "in person" transaction...when I was 25 miles away I would be careful with this place.

Beautiful space, good drinks and good vibes. DJ was on point and bottle service was excellent. The manager , I think her name was Torry was super sweet and accommodating with all of our requests. Will be back.

Probably the most rude grunts at the door I’ve ever encountered. Not only did they not let my huge group in, but one bouncer punched me when I made fun of his tie. Don’t spend your money here, and be careful of the cops on their payroll.

Love this place. Great vibes and fun drinks. We will definitely be back! It seems like a cocktail lounge during the week and more of a nightclub on the weekends! Which is awesome. I'm planning on spending my birthday here. !

The venue is absolutely beautiful. Its the perfect atmosphere for cocktails and quick great food with friends, early evening. At night the DJ comes in, the energy goes up and it turns into a really cool club. The staff is attentive and kind. I've literally been there every week since they opened. My new favorite spot no doubt.

It’s a pretty “clubby atmosphere” but we had some drinks at the bar when it was quieter around 5.30-6pm and it was quite pleasant. It’s very new and some of the staff are still finding their feet, but the drinks were good. I recommend the Texas Heat. They accept reservations for group bookings.
Made a reservation online and took the girlfriend and some friends on a Friday night. The environment is great for groups looking for a lounge type of place to have drinks or get bottle service without the crowdedness of a club. We did not get bottle service but would I in the future? I would. The DJ deserves to be mentioned and applauded on every review for this place. You can tell he has fun at his job as the music variety covers a good deal of genres. Dallas Proper seems to want to cater to a more elder millennial population. I appreciate that. The only thing - and I mean the ONLY thing - I need to negatively criticize, is the noise level from the music. Not as loud as other places, but still. We want to come back to try their brunch for a friend's birthday.

I went to this club on a not so busy Friday night and had the worst club experience ever. I've been to clubs in London that this place tries to replicate and they do a horrible job. The employees are incredibly rude and violent. After several minutes of arguing with the bouncers at the door about getting in, our huge group was furious. I was so fed up I commented on one of the bouncers outfit and he immediately punched me. Laughable. These guys are grunts, not professionals. I repeat. Do not spend (waste) your money here. There are plenty of quality night clubs in Dallas with reasonable management and not thugs working the door. Last thing, be careful if you do go. You may feel safe because they have 'cops' at the door, but I'm not even sure they're real cops. If they are they're getting their wallets stuffed by Dallas proper.

I’ve been here a few times now and love it! I went with some friends on a Saturday night- they had Great music and everyone working was friendly. It was Easy to get a drink. The decor is cute and has a cute wall to take pictures! They started a brunch on Sundays. The food was awesome!

Came here for Sunday Brunch and the space is beautiful, the music was fantastic, the drinks were make your own (the provided the champagne and you added whatever juices you wanted) and the brunch was more of late breakfast. They offered fruit skewers (strawberry, cantaloupe, honey dew and pineapple), muffins, frittata, bacon, sausage, brisket hash, biscuits and gravy and then they had someone who was making pancakes to order. However I guess when I'm thinking of brunch my mind thinks of more than bacon, sausage and brisket hash as your meat options. Now with that said, everything was good, the staff were extremely friendly and it was a cool vibe, however I can't really say this was what I expected. Also, I made a reservation with the manager - first text message confirmation I received was for the wrong day and time. Contacted the manager and explained and he assured me that he had fixed it. Next confirmation had the day right but the wrong time - We just showed up and they worked with us.
