DO NOT APPLY!!! Find literally any other coffee shop that exists if you want to work with coffee, this place is basically a cult. A basic shift consists of HEAVY physical labor only to be constantly criticized by managment (Jessica Young). They do not care about new employees and WILL treat you like an outsider. If they don't like you they will make it impossible to improve and inevitably make you quit. The culture of this company is absolutely garbage. There was not one enjoyable thing about working for this place. For your own sake STAY AWAY!!

Everything is overpriced. I paid over $20 for one drink and a piece of toast. The atmosphere is very strange, there are no alternative milk options for people with allergies. The service staff was friendly and helpful, despite only being paid $10 an hour. The coffee was just ok and the food is, again, just ok. Nothing your local starbucks couldn't do. Save your money, go somewhere else.
Came here for the first time today and I wasn’t impressed. I told the barista it was my first time, which was his opportunity to suggest menu items, but he didn’t and I felt rushed. Also, my HOT coffee that I ordered was served warm in a glass jar. Not sure who came up with the idea of serving coffee in glass jars, but why? The parking was great and the coffee shop itself was very beautiful and clean on the inside. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.

They don’t do disposable to-go cups for sustainability reasons - cool! But at the same time, they don’t offer oat or soy or almond milk, which have CO2/water footprints that are soooo much lower than cow’s milk. Huh? 🤔🤔
Thankfully, they have single-origin pour-overs which are pretty affordable! No wi-fi makes it a nice vibe, feels more like a gathering space than a remote office.

pays awfully low wages for what they expect of their employees, still decent service though.
Atmosphere was great and workers are nice! I gave 3 stars because they offer 0 milk alternatives. I am lactose intolerant so my options were tea or black coffee. Sort of odd and an easy fix. They also don’t offer wifi. As a lactose intolerant person looking to fire off a few emails and drink coffee I was a little surprised. Other than those two major flaws; place seemed sweet
Edit: there are also no outlets. Seems like they don’t want the work crowd lingering which I understand

My daughter was a wheelchair user. There are no steps at the entrance. One table, and seats, available.
Around 2:40 PM, the parking lot was unusually empty, so I went back and had a scone and drip latte. The Scones were also really delicious. However, the amount is enough for three people, right? The drip latte was in a life-sized cup and had a good aroma.
The parking lot is full at noon on both weekdays and weekends, so I visited after 3pm
I wish they had wifi. I want it right now!
The store is clean and the owner and female staff are very nice and I'm interested in other menu items, so I would like to visit again.

Such a cute little family owned place. Everything is great from the coffee (really good coffee), to the food, atmosphere and the service.

Van Buren is my go to! A personal slurp of happy every time!! Add an in house sour dough avocado toast or a seasonal flavor filled brioche muffin - think fillee donut with a French TYPO twist - and you will join me in sitting back sipping and thinking life is good.

Hidden gem. Good coffee and all their pastries/breads are divine. I like getting their sourdough with butter but this time I got a side of homemade strawberry jelly and 2 soft boiled eggs. Feels very homie, warm, and social. Great for catching up with family or friends.

It’s a good spot with good coffee but if you need alternative milk, they don’t have it.

Nice little rustic spot in the arts district. I was looking for good local coffee and someone had recommended this spot. They weren’t wrong as the coffee was great! Blueberry scone is a must get.
