This place has a great atmosphere and the food was fantastic. My only complaint is the service. We went in on a Saturday evening and our waiter did not have many tables, yet we rarely saw him and had to hunt him down a couple times to place orders!

Where to start, beer was not cold, food was ok. But the worst part was the service. The bartender ignored both my wife and I on 2 separated occasions respectively. Unless you are gay or white he would wait until the end to take your order. I didn't get his name but he's the worst bartender I've ever encountered. I've been served by better bartenders at chili's. For sure will never return.
The night of our visit it was quiet, except for a table of girls and then a large group came later. Autumn, our server, was attentive and helpful. We both had a Watermelon Palomino which was tasty, but more grapefruit than watermelon. The chips and queso were delicious, and the tacos were good, but not great. Overall, a good place.

The last three times we went to Desert Racer for Fajita Friday, they didn't have fajitas. One time, the cook was out (??!!). The next time, they didn't have bell peppers (and they would not do them without the peppers). Today, "the meat order didn't come in." WTF kind of restaurant can't keep up with something as ubiquitous in this town as fajitas? The one time we had them, they were SO GOOD, which is why we've kept trying. But I dunno. Three strikes and all. So disappointing, because the margaritas are great, but most of the other food is just OK. Come on, Desert Racer. Seriously. Go to the grocery store and get your damn ingredients there if your supplier is that lame.

Favorite spot to take a friend for the first time. Tacos and queso are legit. Quesadillas are good, but tacos are the way. Drinks are good, and prices across the board are reasonable. Plenty of room inside and out, and the parking is plentiful. Kid-friendly too. Service is super quick and extra friendly and attentive.
Food is incredibly average. Service is barely there. Atmosphere is decent. I wanted to like this place. Maybe I will give it another try. Overall it is a huge step down from the food and service of Off Site Kitchen. Bring back OSK!!! Bring back Murph!

Great chill atmosphere which allowed people to talk and bounce from table to table in a large group setting. Several out door tables with pleasant lighting as well. The hamburger with caramelized onions and just a ton (25?) Of seasoned tater tots were superb. Service very good. Not pushy, not shouting. Highly recommend.

The place is great to hang out and watch the game. But the service is ok at best. The food just didn't have that pop you know. They claim to have won some awards but honestly chipotle has more flavor.

This has always been one of our favorite spots to visit recommended by friends. It's great for eating outdoors on a nice fresh day or indoors! The menu is very refreshing, and that cocktails are superb. Glad to see this restaurant still thriving in East Dallas.

It was a great first experience at this restaurant ? the staff was kind and work hard to accommodate all the customers. Food came out fast and was well made and delicious ? and if you don't do anything, get the churro doughnuts ? they will save your life!
