*No photos*We joined our family first lunch after an event. We ordered an array of dishes from the menu. Loaded queso, chicken fajitas, steak, and chicken nachos, stuffed jalapeños, steak fajitas, and taquitos. Our bill was very reasonable, landing around $70 for five people with beverages. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing, dim lighting, but inviting. The decor was givin' Great Granny's house with a warm color texture. We will definitely be back if we are in the area.Roni's pick

Food was good, but not amazing given how popular it was. Chips they provide are mass produced chips with no flavor. Salsa was good though.

Oh boy let me tell you about this place. I was in town for a soccer tournament and found this place. I'm so glad that we did. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The owner was there and he was top notch!!Now to the part you guys really want to know about. The food. I don't know who they have in that kitchen but good lord almighty they can cook!!! Everything we had was absolutely delicious!I had the chicken fajitas and a buddy of mine had the Desperados Tacos. We shared our food and both didn't disappoint. That was the best taco I've ever had.If I'm ever back in Dallas I'll definitely be going back.

My daughter had hair in her food and then we ordered the sopapillas and they were molded inside and the manager did not want to own up to it he said no because we make them fresh everyday so I guess we won't be dying in there anymore or recommending them to any of our friends and family that come into town until he owned up to it and make it right we were going to send them pictures to the food and service administration I really wish she would have because no one deserves to be treated in this manner

Reservations worked well and kept us from a 30 minute or longer wait. Immediate and friendly service. Owner also came around serving not just asking how the meal was - which was a nice touch in showing care of his family restaurant. We will be back!

Good solid Tex-Mex staples fill the menu of this Greenville Avenue-based Dallas staple. I have popped in on several occasions, always to find great service and good, hearty food.

Very well attended by our server and the chef created a guacamole dip without cilantro for my party, just by asking! Food was definitely authentic, drinks were great as well, making it an overall fabulous experience. We would definitely return for another fantastic experience.

This is the best Mexican restaurant EVER!! Management and staff were so friendly and nice, margaritas are AMAZING, and the food was beyond excellent! I had the Steak Argentina and my date had the chicken itza… they were sooo good. I cannot recommend this place enough!

A family Dallas staple! This is great Mexican food for a low-key, fun friends & family night.

I rarely give one star reviews, but for Desperados, I unfortunately had no choice. Walking in, the atmosphere is phenomenal! I have to give them that. Now when it comes to the dining experience, it was subpar for what could have been. We asked for one of the many empty booths, but were told that they were unavailable for some undisclosed reason. Never have I experienced such a missed opportunity of a restaurant hitting the mark of atmosphere, but completely missing the point of a restaurant, the food!! I got beef and chicken enchiladas. The beef tasted straight out of the Cosco beef isle and I truly could have seasoned it better myself. The chicken was bland, but the sauce was okay. My girlfriend got the desperado tacos, their signature dish. They looked like something out of an elementary cafeteria. Desperatos is something to forget!
