Worst franchise ever!! Down to about 250 stores. More lawsuits everyday. Complete scam. Stay away.

Roland, Laura, and Renee,Just so you know, you guys have a bunch a clowns running your stores. You have people that allow your stores to run out of product without caring if there's caterings that require certain product to fulfill or just foods that people go to eat and enjoy, therefore losing future repeat guest due to your stores unable to provide what the guest wanted. Roland, you yourself spoke about how you know people go to eat with a specific item in mind and how its our job to make sure that is what the guest gets. For example, guest wants the ribs and goes for just the Ribs Dickey's makes, but guess what, thanks to your clowns, there's none, and the guest walks away on multiple occasions and never comes back because there's never any product. Multiply that by 6 guest a day, different guest everyday. There's days they go without certain side items, certain meats, paper good (clamshells to put food in) because the clowns refuse to allow the purchase of said items when needed. I recommend you personally go to the stores to talk to the managers wand ask them what can be done to make the stores better. Don't send the clowns, YOU GO yourself and investigate and gather the information YOU NEED to know. Your reviews and sales suck, go investigate, don't listen to the zoo, listen to your crew on the front lines who ACTUALLY experience the embarrassment of having to tell guest there's no product and get yelled at.Also the request of your stores to physically fix the store, not happening, clowns won't let it happen. Not even a bucket of paint for the doors as you asked for.I can go on and on, and the clowns will tell you I'm upset over getting fired, I'm not really. Just bored and decided to write this. Which is all true tho. And for the world to see.

Hi. Please don't dismiss this. It should go to your COO and CFO. I drove brand marketing for Coca-Cola, SUBWAY, and COX. Your marketing team is not helping your restaurant network. In TX, Dickey's is well known, and that's the problem. When cups and bags leave the restaurant, they are advertisements. Dickey's is assuming they are known in other states just like TX. The Dickey's logo is so tiny. Your creative team created some cute graphics but unless you are 6" away you will never see the logo and never know where that person just had BBQ. Stores are closing, assuming lack of sales, because they don't get any name awareness and recognition. In Phoenix, I have eaten several times in two Dickey's. Traffic is EXTREMELY slow no matter what time of day. In PHX the road signage is not noticeable and if you did get a glimpse passing by you can't read it because it is in that Western font. If you expect increased sales corporate marketing needs to look at the needs of stores outside TX. Brand awareness and value are very different from TX. Thanks. Mark McCully

Animals and anything that comes from them is not food! Real food is grown from the earth, not born. Time for all you nonvegans to break away from the Animal killing cult. Eat plants, not beings.

Stay away from this business. US Veteran here - I started two franchise agreements with Dickey’s in November of 2021 and it has been the worst business experience I have had due to their corporate employees misspeaking, saying half-truths, and playing games. These folks still owe me $25,000 as they said I would get refunded but I have been waiting since March of 2022. This company said I would get my franchise fee money back if we did not open a store multiple times throughout the franchise process. I served as a pilot in the United States Air Force for 11 years and my plan was to start my own business while pursuing my aviation career. Dickey’s was the worst choice for this goal. During the course of opening the store, owners are required to attend their BBQ University - while at BBQ University, I asked several questions about financials which were inaccurately fed to me during the sales process. An example of this was an estimate of opening the store was $150-200k for my site as it was a previous restaurant. But when the time came to take a small business loan, they wanted me to take one for $600k and said the cost of the stores would be closer to this. Another example was reimbursement of buy backs and promotions. I was told that the company would pay for all the promotions as they take a hefty percentage off your net sales for marketing. Only to find out later they only reimburse the food cost of the promotion - which is about 66% less than the cost of the promotion. I was asked to leave their BBQ University after saying my flying career could POSSIBLY limit my time spent in the stores I was about to open. I am so glad I walked away from this financial catastrophe. I want to warn anyone else potentially thinking about opening any of their store brands as you may have a similar experience as me. Don’t just take my word - be sure to contact the other store owners as their contact information is in the franchise agreement. Many of them that I talked to had a similar negative experience.

Worst franchise ever! They will bully you and straight up lie to you. Just go to unhappyfrancise.com and search dickeys owners survey and you can see what the owners really think.

When you have a complaint about one of their restaurants they do not get back to you in any way shape or form. Poor way to run a company they can go in the hole anytime we wouldn't even notice.

Horrible company loyalty program. Constantly rejects receipts on regular basis. Have lost probably 400 - 500 points due to poor app design. Called customer service and they are no help. BBQ is great but do not expect anything beyond that.
