Normally I got to the one in Rockwall but I decided to try this one instead. They do their food differently than the one in Rockwall. I ordered a spinach dip and this is how they brought it to me. Very watery!! I sent it back with all of the food that I had ordered. I recommend going to the one in Rockwall but I’ll never come to this place again.

Absolutely loved their food! I wish I lived here so I could eat it more often! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and the Crawfish is absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend. Also I wouldn't pay too much mind to the negative reviews because people love to complain about anything.

We were in just after lunch on a Tuesday. We hadn’t been in to Dodie’s since before the pandemic. I’m pleased to see it is still operating. But, the food was not good today. The boiled shrimp appetizer was incredibly overcooked and tough. The pretzel appetizer was hard. The server was not happy to see us, and not at all attentive to us, even though they weren’t terribly busy. When our entrees were served, it was pretty apparent that they had been sitting for a good while. And to top things off, our server neglected to bring our slaws and salad. Not the best experience we have had at a place that was once in our top 5 favorite places to eat.Lesson learned. Don’t go in after lunch. Wait until dinner.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Our grandson had to sit in our laps as no highchair was offered.

Dr Pepper was flat and too sweet. The food was subpar and our waitress was not friendly. Not very happy with our experience today.

Really disappointing. We started with appetizers. Pretzel was probably from Sam's Club and heated in the microwave. Cheese was lukewarm cheese whiz. Peel and eat shrimp were overcooked about 2 hours earlier. A pair of pliers would have made peeling them easier. Lunch was Blackened Redfish with dirty rice. Fish was good but rice was left over from lunch. Wife and daughter had a pasta dish with crawfish and shrimp. Better but not great. They didn't finish and didn't want a box to go. Bright spot was the Shiner Bach in a frosted glass. Probably won't be back, I'll head down the road to Charlie's for Cajun!

I was totally disappointed I've been going to Dodie's for years and the quality of their food and their presentation is terrible they served us Bay sized shrimp on the seafood platter, and the slaw was terrible, the fries were limp and cold, they really need to pay attention to quality.

Blackened Red Fish bussin! Service and the vibe is definitely a mood. Favorite place to watch sports, and hang out in D! Owner made us round of drinks, and hung out for few minutes. Made the night. Coolest guy, and regulars are chill af.
