Food was unfortunately not up to par and the service was not in line with the pricing. We waited a long time for drinks when we could see them from our seats. If they can figure these things out then the restaurant is beautiful with incredible ambiance and great drinks. Great place to go to get drinks and chat with friends in an upscale environment.

It's rare a rest as tent in Dallas both amazing aesthetic and food! Dolce Riviera ticked both. The food was outstanding and our server had the most amazing attitude. Loved my experiencee & will be back again.

Unfortunately the experience left a lot to be desired. The sommelier was great and very helpful and friendly. The food was not that appetizing for a restaurant of this $$$ threshold. The service felt very rushed and the impression was that we should be held to the 7:30-9:00 reservation time although the restaurant was only a quarter full and wasn't going to close till 10:00. Not the type of New Year's Eve experience we are used to in the metroplex. I don't like to leave negative reviews and would not if multiple factors didn't weigh into an overall mediocre experience.

Had a horrible experience on Christmas Day. Took them 25 minutes to seat us with a reservation, the buffet ran out of food, hair in food, bones in the fish, no drink service. Would 0/10 recommend this restaurant!

We admittedly had high expectations for our Christmas brunch at Dolce Riviera, maybe based on the $95/person base price. The visit began roughly. Apparently, they were either overbooked, under staffed, or both. We became frustrated wading through some valet parking chaos and a 20-minute wait in line to reach the hostess stand, and then another 25-minute wait to be seated. It was well past our reservation time when we were finally escorted to our table. After quickly ordering a couple of brunch cocktails, we were told we could enter the buffet brunch line at our convenience. So we got up and waited in another line. From there, the experience generally improved. The choices were varied and plentiful. We ended up making three trips through the line, each time visiting different stations. The food was fresh and tasty, but rather simple. The cocktails, when they were finally served after our second food run, were only so-so. All-in-all, we had a pleasant holiday experience there. Perhaps our expectations were a little high.

I want to begin on a fair note. The food itself was adequate—competently prepared, pleasant enough, but ultimately uninspired. It neither offended nor impressed, leaving little to linger on in memory. For a Christmas brunch at this price point, adequacy simply isn't enough. Unfortunately, the execution of the experience was nothing short of chaotic. Despite a 1:00 PM reservation, we waited over 20 minutes to be seated while nearly half of the dining room sat empty. The staff appeared overwhelmed, moving about in visible disarray. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and placed drink orders—but that was the last meaningful service interaction for quite some time. Nearly 30 minutes passed without seeing our server, during which I attempted repeatedly to get anyone's attention, unsuccessfully. Eventually, I had to stop someone just to request water, leaving us with full plates of food and nothing to drink. The buffet itself reflected poor planning. The meat carving station was severely understocked, requiring multiple requests, and the meat was cold. Despite ample bread, there was no butter or olive oil available, a baffling omission for an Italian restaurant. The omelet station repeatedly shut down due to running out of butane, and glassware ran out entirely—my children couldn't even get iced tea. My cocktail didn't arrive until dessert, after multiple follow-ups. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've had excellent experiences here before. This Christmas brunch, however, was simply unacceptable—especially after spending over $400.

We wanted to try something different this Christmas and they had a buffet. Let's first start with the extra 20 minute wait to be seated. I could feel the frustration with not just my party but others around us. Let me be clear that the people seating us were apologetic, and so was the waitress. The waitress was attentive at first and I did make it clear that my teen would need to keep her water glass full and even asked for a pitcher and was told she would check on us. She did at first but as it became time closer to dessert, she was no where to be found. Ordering drinks was also asking a lot it seemed. My sister twice said that if the drink she ordered at the start of dinner had not been made to cancel the order. The drink still came out quite a bit later. My husband had asked for ginger ale but she brought ginger beer and I let her know more than once he would not drink it. Let's talk about the food....it was amazing! I loved all of the vegetables, the truffle Mac-n-cheese, both meats at the carving station, and much more. The desserts were portioned out in the best way I have ever seen for a buffet. They were small/bite size and I didn't feel like I was wasting half a plate of desserts. They were also amazing in flavor! When it was time to pay the check I took the time to look at the check, which I usually don't. They had charged our bill to someone else. That is not acceptable. I'm so glad I had looked. Maybe they were just overwhelmed with so many people coming for the holiday. I would definitely try them again because the food was that amazing!

The staff were extremely professional and accommodating, I was running late and they pushed back my reservation to help me out. They also bent over backwards to make sure we had the best experience possible. The food and drinks were phenomenal as well. Definitely recommend for a date night on the outside covered patio.

Food was delicious but smallish portions. Server was very nice but slow and not very attentive at times. Restaurant is pretty!

The food was very tasty and the drinks like the pistachio martini was very good. The service was excellent. I like the idea of the free valet parking. This is a cute restaurant.

Food was not worth the price. Server was not friendly. They kept the door open when the temp was 40F. Told 4 ppl about it and no one closes the door to the patio. Previous customer...don't plan to go back there again.

Great birthday brunch. Doesn't really have a lot of food options but the ones on the menu are definitely delicious!

The service was horrible, rude waitress did not care about the table, showed up to the table every 25 minutes, served most tables in an area. Certainly understaffed.
They had 10 available tables outside but said none are available when we asked.
Overall experience was not pleasant, not recommended at all.

Would love to give Dolce Rivera 5 stars but unfortunately the lack of service/slow service and demeanor of the staff doesn’t allow for 5 stars.
8 mins at the bar before we had to go ask to get service and we were the only ones at the bar. We ordered cappuccino’s and asked for sugar, Ryan came back and said we don’t have sugar. So a restaurant doesn’t have sugar??
The host was rude because I missed understood him when he asked if we wanted to sit outside. We sat down and 10 mins go by before we’re greeted and given water. Food was as good, atmosphere is beautiful. Service gets no stars
