I was excited to discover a Double Dave's closer than Denton. I did not read the reviews as it did not occur to me. Wow what a disappointment. No buffet. This is not a normal DD restaurant, but a dump of a bowling alley/bar (former Lakewood theater) that happens to serve food. We waited 20+ minutes for our order of 2 strombolis. They are still delicious and taste like other Double Dave's so the recipe is right. But we had to ask for plates, utensils, drinks and napkins. All disposable. We couldn't get finished and out fast enough. We were the only customers at 1pm on a Saturday until a couple guys came in to drink at the bar. IDK how they stay in business. I feel bad for the staff.

First time waited 40+ minutes after the alleged pick up time they give you as estimated time. Second time shouldve known better.

Still awaiting on my Refund!!
Went in 3 days ago, Was told that it was going to be taken care of that same day.
Since February 12 and today is the 24th and Still No refund yet, For something I didnt even received...

This is on the bottom tier of pizza in Dallas. You can find 30 better places for pizza in east Dallas alone.

inattentive older gentleman very slow service called ahead and still had to wait quite some time definitely better pizza shops around

I will definitely return hopefully next time to have some cocktails and food and probably play some bowling. Food was delicious and hot took a while but it was worth the wait.

Bartender working on Saturday nights sucks. Shut down pizza before closing time and was totally dismissive. Not cool.

So dissatisfied. Ordered online and went to pick up food when it was supposed to be ready. The oddball at the register said that it would be at least another hour but I could just cancel my order and no delivery was available. He was rude and clearly had no sense of customer service.

Food has always been great but doubt I ever return after that experience. Be warned about ordering any take out.

Craig the manager couldn’t even be reached to refund the charges according to the guy with the red coat and mullet…

Ordered pickup online, and when I arrived there was a huge party going on. Turned out they hadn't even started on the order I'd placed 30 minutes before, but was left to wait for 20 more minutes in the lobby before they let me know "we'll just cancel it for you". Totally understand you are busy, but maybe block orders if you're not going to honor them or reach out when you receive an order you know you can't fill. Instead, you made your customers' dinner plans a dumpster fire.

Food is great but everything else is terrible. Place orders online and show up only to find out they never made (5 calls later and still waiting on refund) and if you call to order nobody ever answers. Was excited when they got location in my area but service and management is just awful which is very disappointing.
