El Tacaso Reviews
The Barbacoa tacos were so delicious! Authentic Mexican food!
I have ate here since 2000, it has always been 100%.
I would recommend this restaurant 100%.
HOWEVER, today is the 1st time I order Barbacoa (Cheek Meat) and it was Need Brisket, it was good but I was expecting cheek meat.
Disappointed.

El Tacaso is a restaurant known for its delicious gorditas and tacos, featuring highly rated carne desebrada. The dining experience offers quick and polite service in a peaceful environment, though some customers have noted the staff can be rude and rushed. While there is no music playing, the food speaks for itself. Some customers may be disappointed by the lack of certain menu items, such as tacos de tripas. El Tacaso also serves dishes like the guiso de res, which is praised for its tenderness and flavorful seasoning. This little gem is an Oak Cliff hidden secret spot, and it's still really good after many years. The carnitas gorditas are a highlight, and the prices aren’t too bad. Customers also enjoy the breakfast options, which never disappoint and always hit the spot. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making each visit pleasant. The guiso de res is appreciated for its great seasoning, and the tacos are described as absolutely delicious. The flautas have a great taste, and many customers highly recommend the place for its good food and nice vibes. Some have noted that on Sundays, gorditas can sometimes have little meat and taste reheated, but overall, the restaurant remains a favorite in the area.
