One word: Craveable. The atmosphere is intimate and perfect for a date night. The service made us feel well attended to, and we received details about the meal and our drinks. The cocktails are a step above - the Raspberry Fields is a must try. Everything we ordered tasted great, and the plating was remarkable. I'm still thinking about their octopus and pork belly appetizer, and it looked like a work of art on a plate. The tomato salad was fantastic, as was their short rib. We ended with their purple velvet cake - another artful looking dish that was the perfect note to end the meal on. This is a true 5 star place - it's in the quality and the details.

Top tier place! Definitely should be having some sort of award or recognition coming their way! Great service, amazing unique food you can’t find many other places in Dallas! I had the pork cheeks tender, citrus acidity, flavorful, hearty- highly recommend! Plus

Ella is a culinary standout in Dallas. Every plate that hit the table was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and presentation. The ingredients felt seasonal and intentional — from the first bite to the last, it was clear the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing.

The textures were spot-on, sauces were layered with depth, and plating was elegant without being overdone. Truly one of those meals where you pause mid-bite just to savor what’s happening.

Then came the hidden speakeasy upstairs — an unexpected and effortlessly cool twist. Intimate lighting, curated cocktails, and a vibe that feels like you’ve stumbled into one of Dallas’ new best-kept secrets.

Ella isn’t just dinner — it’s an experience. Can’t recommend it enough for serious food lovers.

Last night was the second time I've eaten here, even though I have visited Customs upstairs before Ella opened. I was so impressed with my first meal, I invited friends to come along last night, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. We tried several different house cocktails including Raspberry Fields, Poached Pear and Libertad (my personal favorite) as well as two classics--Ella martini and daiquiri. ALL were excellent. For appetizers we selected bread service, steak tartare (another personal favorite) and mussels. Each of us requested a different entree and each of us was convinced that ours was the best choice: steak frites, short rib, petite filet and the evening's fish selection, halibut. A special mention must be made of the purees--YUM! Thank you to everyone for making our evening delicious and delightful! I look forward to my next visit...

Had a work group happy hour here. Knew Julian Schaffer from Rye and he's doing something special and unique here!! Curated cocktails in main area and cool vibe with Agave forward drink menu in speakeasy upstairs. Fantastic place in a neighborhood not accustomed to highly curated and upscale scene.

RUN dont walk. Bc hiding in plain sight... I'm not sure when exactly this place opened but so happy we found her! ELLA!! As a north Dallas mama, we loved feeling like we were dining in the best of Dallas without having to make the trek all the way down to city center. As a foodie couple, we were very pleased celebrating our anniversary here. The staff is sweet and kind and the food surpassed our expectations for what we would find in this area. BONUS: walk upstairs for an Agave specialty cocktail SPEAKEASY!

Book your table, book an Uber, and enjoy a cozy yet elegant evening at Ella + Customs.

Manager Julian is awesome and the place has amazing cocktails. Has a separate bar at the back upper floor with tequila/mezcal influenced drinks. Will come back to try the food next time

Loved this new restaurant at Walnut Hill & 75! Great food and excellent service. We ordered the shrimp and masa dumplings, bread service, salmon and filet - all excellent. Also liked the bar upstairs (Customs). We’ll definitely be back!

Recently stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant. Alex, the bartender was amazing to whip up some yummy mocktails on my behalf and was very knowledgeable on the menu items and giving outstanding recommendations. I had a three course meal starting with the corn soup on which the chef personally came out and poured it on me into your bowl and looked like a masterpiece. I then had the petite fillet, with crispy, potatoes and puree carrots. The presentation is unmatched. Ended the meal with a light and airy panna cotta. Like jazz trickled through the entire restaurant. There is a speakeasy upstairs to set a moodier tone, the general manager. Was very kind and welcoming to all guests as they entered the location population. This is a must see in dallas restaurants.

Amazing food and great atmosphere! I’ve eaten at Chef Farr’s other restaurants and he never disappoints on his menu. I can’t give this a higher recommendation.

Wow. Great intimate atmosphere, perfect for date night or dinner with friends. Wonderful service — very prompt, kept water filled but gave us plenty of space for conversation and paced the meal well.
But above all, the FOOD is fantastic. We had the shrimp with corn dumplings appetizer and the bolognese entree. The shrimp appetizer was such a great and unique combination of flavors and textures, and was so well executed. Unexpected in the best possible way. Honestly the best single dish I’ve had in a long time.

We were between the salmon and the bolognese for entree. Went with the pasta on the waitress’s recommendation. I’m usually disappointed when ordering a classic pasta dish at a nice restaurant (I usually think “I could have made something 95% as good at home”. Not here. The nuances and layers of flavor were something else, and the pasta was great. Corn soup and the mussels were also a big hit with the others in our group.

Didn’t do cocktails but they looked fantastic.

We also had a dairy allergy that they accommodated easily and with care. They were able to modify things to make the actual dish without dairy, not just strip the dish down… that’s a mark of a good chef to me. They made basically the whole menu available, which is a great joy for someone who is used to having their options narrowed down to just a few things.

Highly recommend this place for date night or similar. Probably the best restaurant in Dallas outside of uptown/downtown.

As a resident living just a few seconds away, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and it never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

One of the standout reasons I keep coming back is the incredible service, especially from Alex, the bartender. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic cocktail or something creative and off-menu, Alex delivers with precision, personality, and a genuine smile. He has an amazing way of remembering guests’ preferences and always makes your drink just right plus, his energy behind the bar sets the tone for a great evening.

Equally impressive is Julian, the manager, who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a top-tier experience. He’s attentive, personable, and always circulating the dining area, checking in with customers and making sure everything runs smoothly. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in the high standards he maintains.

The food? Delicious. Thoughtfully crafted dishes, generous portions, and a menu that balances comfort with a touch of sophistication. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish perfect for a casual night out or celebrating something special.

As someone who lives nearby, it’s such a treat to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or planning a full dinner experience, you’ll leave satisfied and already planning your next visit.

Amazing food & cocktails
I enjoyed a great glass of wine

I'm thankful for a creative restaurant in the neighborhood - our salad had cornbread croutons that tasted of shortbread; the mussels had a champagne broth/sauce that we finished w fantastic toasted sourdough

It's a new restaurant so our server wasn't as knowledgeable as you'd like, but the owner was around - you must try one of his cocktails - Michelin star worthy & the kitchen is on point
