Im an out-of-towner. This is a gem I found by just asking Google for black owned bars near me. Service was awesome & they are very attentive. Will be back!

Donna is the owner and she provided a very warm welcome! The food was great. We had 2 catfish baskets with a side of corn fritters & 2 cocktails. 10/10

Went to get dinner and was not disappointed. Good food. Scenery was nice. Vibe was cool. Reasonable prices. Ms. Ma'am hooked me up. Thank u??

With immense potential, this place could easily exceed expectations. The overall setup left me impressed. Although the staff was friendly during my visit for dinner, the wait time of one hour for reheated frozen and canned food was excessive. I anticipated more from the venue itself, and unfortunately, it didn't leave a lasting impression. If you ever aspire to achieve greatness, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

Came here to show my stepmother Dallas eats! I was not satisfied! The chicken was delicious, but the sides were lazily seasoned! The restaurant was INSANELY DARK! We had to ask other guests of the restaurant what we were supposed to do. Also when asked about drinks we were told to go next door to purchase drinks since there small cans were $3 and water was $3.
Then nextdoor for drinks, they only took cash. It was honestly kinda strange.

My suggestion is get a soda fountain instead of the numerous frozen margarita machines, put more soul into the sides, and turn the lights on during the day.

First time going on a Sat. afternoon before attending a concert and I was pleased with the atmosphere. Owner/Host was attentive and provided good customer service. We decided to try the wings/fries and they came out hot and tasty? Emerald City has potential and I plan on returning with family and friends because I enjoye my first visit to this spot.

What I paid for versus what I got didn’t add up ! The serving portions was small and to add insult to injury the food wasn’t even good !!!! I had my hopes up just to disappointed ! The fried fish was ok but the Mac n cheese was terrible and the yams needed to be cooked longer ! Me personally I would never recommend this place or try again

Kendall was very friendly however I am from Ohio and expected some great southern cuisine. The fried chicken was really good. The sides were canned with no seasoning cooked in. They sprinkled seasoning on top of yams and cabbage. Both lacked flavor and were cold. The Mac n cheese tasted like frozen with cheese added to top and microwaved in a styrofoam cup until cheese melted. To say the least I was disappointed in the lack of love put into the sides and nothing was fresh. Also was told cornbread came with meal but were then told they were out. The place was not busy so how did you run out?. We were told mini cans of soda would be $3 and water $3 also and was told to purchase sodas at black jacks pizza next door. Went over to purchase drinks but could not because they only take cash!! The lighting was not great either. Needless to say I will not be visiting this establishment again.!!! I get better authentic southern cuisine in ohio than I got from this place!!!
