Amazing pies. We tried the chocolate and the apple. Service was fast and friendly. There are places to sit but we took it to go.

Honestly the pie is very good. It is slightly on the pricey side at $8 a slice! For a sweet tooth craving this was a good stop while down in Deep Ellum. However, just not sure if I’d go back for the price!Parking: Paid parking lots nearby.

The individual slice prices are absurd when considering what you're getting. $8-9. For one slice. Not even a generous slice. Or a particularly high quality pie at that. This kinda state fair level bamboozlement is wild. During our first visit (last year), we had purchased a full pie (the Dr. Love) and while that was also expensive, the flavor (and perhaps a little bit of an internalized assertion that higher cost = higher quality) helped to justify it in my mind at the time. This most recent visit though left me more annoyed than anything else.

Came at 8:45pm. Was informed they run out of 50% of the pies and doing to go only. With a 9pm closing time, not receiving dine in seems be customer unfriendly.

The pie flavors and variety are excellent if you have a sweet tooth. Personally, the apple is a tad too sweet for me, but doesn't detract from it being empirically well made and unique in flavor. The blue steel is amazing and the smooth operator as well. I have nothing remotely bad to say about any of the pies! The workers there are always attentive, maybe not lively but kind enough and they provide free water. The ambiance is quite enticing, mimici by that of a small cafe where you can sit and enjoy your pie alone or with friends! My only qualm is that each time I go, there tends to be limited pie options simply because they sell out so quickly, a true testament to how good their pies are, but also an issue with their business operating model. I hope to go again soon and try new flavors!

I love Emporium Pies in Bishop Arts but I think I found a new love. The decor is simplistic and the seating area is so much better as there are seats inside this locale and outdoor covered seating as well. The employees greet with smiles and try to make recommendations based on the seasonal assortment. There are whole pies in a counter encasement that are great visuals as well as a visual chart that depicts pies. We ordered about 6-7 slices between the three of us. The staff was quick to complete bagging up orders. I did not like a comment made by an employee after I took snaps upon entry as I have in every restaurant I enter, which is how this review resulted in a four star score. I was taken aback when the cashier told me that before I snap photos I should ask permission... not one business I've patronaged has ever said anything like that. Also we went at the beginning of spring and the key like pie still was not available which is a family fav of ours. I settled for: Nannerz, Smooth Operator, and Drunken Nut. All Pies fantastic! Will revisit again soon once LIMELIGHT is back.

I made a to go order only to get home with the wrong slice of pie. I hate cooked fruit and ended up with blueberry pie. $8 in the trash

Delicious pie but *do not* buy by the slice. You will get a tiny piece that appears to be cut from a much smaller pie tin for $8-11 when you could buy the full sized standard pie for $48 (or $6 per a full-sized slice).Husband got a new job starting next week, and we wanted to celebrate in a small way since money is tight. We decided to splurge on two pieces of pie that were $10.50 each via Uber Eats, and what we received fell very short of a standard sized pie slice, especially one that's nearly $11. There were maybe 2-3 bites of pie and the remaining was all crust. The entire "slice" fit into the palm of my hand. For the price, order a full sized pie and actually get your money's worth.

TL;DR: Delicious pie but do not buy by the slice. You will get a tiny piece that appears to be cut from a much smaller pie tin for $8-9 when you could buy the full sized standard pie for $48 (or $6 per a full-sized slice). Husband starts a new job next week after six months of unemployment following a layoff, and I wanted to get a sweet treat to celebrate. Funds are super limited so this $9 pie slice was a fun splurge. I just wish it had been worth it. The pie itself was delicious, but the slice was TINY. At best, 2-3 bites of pie and the rest was crust. The price for the full standard sized pie is $48. If that was cut into the standard 8 slices per pie, that would be $6 per slice and a larger slice of pie than this. Even if we cut the pie into 6ths, the price would be $8 and of course a much bigger slice of pie. I get that they want to turn a larger profit on the slices, but dang...this is an insane markup.

The atmosphere is all about the pies guys. The he staff was amazing. The only hang up they forgot to add my slice of smooth operator. I know I ordered five slices but one was left behind. Hey Emporium you owe me a slice I'll save the receipt.

Excellent pies. Some closer to traditional, some more of their own take on a classic.
