Definitely the most delicious cake you'll find in Dallas! We decided to go with FCBL based on taste alone, and we were not disappointed! Every flavor in their sample box blew us away, and we had a hard time choosing between them! Guests commented all night on how delicious it was, and ate so much that we only had 2 slices leftover! Our cake looked very close to our inspiration image. The manager, Melinda, was very friendly and prompt with all communications.The tasting experience is a bit inconvenient, as their bakery hours are very limited. Trying to get up there during working hours to pick up a to-go box was difficult.The pricing is a bit high if you only want a small cake, especially with the exorbitant delivery fee. We ended up paying it because we could not find a place to store our cake before the wedding, but I do think it could be adjusted. Maybe the pricing levels out with bigger cakes.

I came to Fancy Cakes By Lauren because the cake I bought from another cake maker fell during transport the day before my wedding. I was totally in a panic! I literally saw this cake shop as I was pulling off the freeway while in route to the venue to see if they could quickly make me something for the next day. They were already booked but to my surprise they suggested trying to salvage the bottom part of the cake that didn’t fall on my dashboard. I took them up on the offer and I was beyond pleased with the results! My cake looked amazing. They literally revamped the whole cake and I was able to cut my cake with my husband on our special day! You couldn’t even tell anything had happened to it! God bless you ladies! I am forever grateful ????????

From the moment we met Lauren, we knew we wanted to work with her. All of the cake flavors at the tasting were so delicious it was nearly impossible to narrow it down. She was able to bring to life our vision and sketch a design in minutes right before our eyes! Our cake was BEAUTIFUL and exactly what we an envisioned. Not only did it look amazing, it was delicious and moist! EVERY single piece of cake was eaten! We will definitely be working with her in the future! Highly recommend!

Lauren made our wedding cake and groom’s cake and while the cakes tasted good, the design and overall experience with her was not what we expected from a baker with her experience and reputation. Communication is terrible and completely through email which seemed nice at first because we could send images of what we liked, but when there were questions it was hard to get an answer. The designs we ordered were not what was delivered for either cake. We ordered a smooth, all white wedding cake with a copper monogram and minimal flowers, but we received a textured white and copper cake with copper monogram and lots of flowers. The monogram was also very messy and off center. The groom’s cake was supposed to feed 57 people as it was a simple strawberry cake with buttercream icing and simple personalized design, but they delivered a cake that was completely covered in thick fondant that couldn’t be cut and was not served to guests. We were told that Lauren was made aware of the issues after the wedding, and that she said she would reach out to us but we have not heard from her at all. Overall we feel we could have ordered the cakes from another baker and received what we actually ordered for significantly less money.

Ready the reviews there are more positive then negative , all I needed is a birthday cake for the 27th of July so I emailed on July 16th and asked for a minnie mouse cake I recieved a email rigjt away asking for a picture so I sent 2 that I found I liked and I have not heard back from them , my daughters Birthday is in 5 days and I have sent 3 emails asking about the cake and if they can do it and no one can answer me back ...bad customer servi

Have you ever seen the incredibly realistic looking cakes of dogs? My daughter wanted to surprise her "then fiance" with a replica of his dog, Nestle, for the groom's cake. When the groom saw the cake, he was literally brought to tears! To say that Lauren delivered is an understatement! "Nestle" was at the wedding in all his glory and guests literally had to be told it was a cake. They thought it was a statue! Guests throughout the wedding were taking photos and video of the groom's cake. It was definitely a highlight of the event. This is not to say the bride's cake was not beautiful as well, but having a cake like the "Nestle" cake made my daughter's wedding even more of a special event than it already was! If you are blessed enough to be able to schedule Lauren for your wedding, do so! Of all the "add-ons" that you consider for a wedding, this is the one that will have the greatest impact. Lauren will elevate your event to a whole new level!!!!
