I hosted a group of customers, and they went out of their way to make sure that we were served despite the fact they were extremely busy. The food is wonderful, but keep your eye on that barbecue sauce it's mighty spicy.
I really enjoyed visiting here several times over my stay in Dallas. Twice for a meal and once for the bar out back. The BBQ was excellent. I had the brisket, both fatty and lean which was perfect with simple salt and pepper run. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was great and the ribs were wonderful with a great blend dry rub. I tried both sauces as well as the Mac and cheese and I have zero complaints!
The staff was always friendly and easy to talk to and the atmosphere was very chill with a vibe you'd expect from a good ol BBQ joint.
Highly recommend you stop in and try it out!

The brisket fat was rendered PERFECTLY - and the four sauces weren't vinegary. Was it mind-blowing? No. Not fully 5-stars bc it's pretty pricey for the quantity & quality - like the cornbread was $4 for two bites (pictured). And we must have gotten the bottom of the barrel beans because it was 50% water (pictured) when we've seen photos of nothing but beans in other posts... Maybe what we get for going at 3 pm...?

The food was cold. They were about to close, and they rushed us out. No one else was there, very empty

Loved it. Not crazy about bread pudding but the rest was delicious.

Not bad but certainly not worth $19 for a simple chopped BBQ sandwich & one side. Not very satisfying in my opinion, I’m sorry to say. I won’t be back if I’m paying again!

The workers were friendly and accommodating, but the food was just not great. Lukewarm and dry meat, unmelted cheese in Mac n cheese, and disappointing banana pudding. At least the waffle fries were okay.

Husband and I walked in and we were sure if the place was even open.
He ordered the two meat plate and got literally twice small slices of each meat. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and Cheese and it was noodles with some kind of three cheese mix. Box mac would have been better.
The full meal with just water was $36 so it was not worth the money. The place seems like it has the potential to be really good but would not go back

Brisket was pretty good, ribs were super salty and dry. Don't get the cornbread if you're getting takeout. $4 for a one inch square and some butter that you can finish in one bite. Pickled veggies were pretty sad, not much flavor. Considering the price, there's many better options in the area

I just went to Ferris Wheerlers for the first time, and it definitely will not be my last. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by amazing staff. You're made to feel like you're the most important person there. No matter how busy it is, you're not rushed. You're treated like a long lost friend. Talk about exceptional customer service... the guys at the counter could teach a course on it.
Now, onto the food. I love BBQ brisket. Unfortunately, oftentimes it's dry and mealy. NOT at Ferris Wheelers. It's moist and melts in your mouth. The BBQ sauces are fantastic. The Texas Gold BBQ sauce gives the brisket an amazing corned beef taste. The fried okra is the best. The batter isn't heavy and is full of flavor. The potato salad and mac and cheese alone are worth the trip.
The music venue in the back is great. No matter where you are, you have a great view of the performers. The sound is great. Even better is the bar. The bartenders are some of the best in the business. They treat every customer like 5-star royalty. They could easily teach a course on how exceptional hospitality is done.
I think the reason for the exceptional service you get at Ferris Wheelers is because the employees enjoy working there and enjoy their coworkers. It seemed like a positive and fun work environment. I also appreciated seeing the manager jump in and support the staff wherever they needed support.
Thank you Ferris Wheelers crew! Y'all are killing it!
