Cool good cooks really fast service
The food was good. The restaurant was very outdated. While dining in I found myself looking around at little maintenance things that could be better to make customers more comfortable. The mini blinds were dusty and it was stuffy in the restaurant. I enjoyed my food but I will not go back again.
the food is great 👍once you go you'll go on weekends
Had a good time
Kool spot
The portion of my hash browns was skimpy. Not the way I am use to the cooks doing it with a decent portion. The cooks were talking a little loud. I heard them talking in Spanish saying that he is a wetback. I look up at one of them, thinking who is he talking about. I was the only other Hispanic near the cooking area. I will never go back to this Franks Grill again. I love Franks food and will continue going to Franks Grill. But never the 1960 and Clay rd. one!
Great place
This place has been here since the 60's and you can see why. The food is cooked to order and always great. Some portions are adequate but some portions are over flowing. The chicken fried steak is the size if a dinner plate. Breakfast is our favorite time to go. . There is something for everyone.

We stopped in this place for convenience. We were meeting one of the kids who lives in Katy. The food was oustanding and very quick. However, the coffee was terrible. I sent the first cup back saying something is wrong with it. They made a new pot and gave a cup of it- same terrible taste. I didnt know I was such a coffee snob, but this coffee tasted like it was filtered with paper towel causing it to be biter and very off.
food is excellent. Never had a problem till recently. Months ago they stop having a cashier by the front desk. When they serve your food it always comes with the ticket (to me that's a sign that they are finish with you and will not come around no more) I had to get up for more coffee and a to go box. Finally I get up to pay and i was told I had to wait for waitress to pay(this time it was my fault). The problem is that once she delivery the food to us, she never came around. So, the waiter find her she came took my credit card, left came with my card and recipt to sign, but no pen. So I had to get up for the fourth time so I can get a pen. My point is, it's hard to find a waitress even when you are ready to pay. Service has gone down really bad. They are over work. I believe all they need is a cashier.
Today while eating I over heard two ladies speaking to I believe is the manager, one was inquiring about a job posted on the door. The manager said to these ladies they do not hire females to cook due to sexual harassment. I am a restaurant manager myself and was outraged when I heard her say that. That is discrimination. As I left I looked at the sign and it did not say male cooks only. Where is it in your policy you dont hire females to cook???
