Went over to Greenville after a long time and tried this place. Very loud and super casual but the food and service is really good. Definitely try if in the vicinity. Sorry no pics
If you don't get the focaccia bread and pickled pepper martini when you come then you are doing yourself a disservice and shame on you!!!!! Also Rodney the bartender is the bee's knees. 10/10

I see all of the positive reviews this place has received and I do not understand what went so terribly wrong on our visit. Went for dinner on a weeknight and ordered cheese beignets appetizer, drinks and fish main course. If memory serves it was Halibut. Not a big fan of the beignets but people can disagree. Fish on other hand was overcooked and dry. Sad for a $36 dish. We told our largely inattentive server and he did nothing, charging us fully for half eaten dish. Asked to speak to manager, Austin, and this is where things really went downhill. The guy was annoyed with us for not saying something sooner. That’s a lot of freaking nerve. I wa annoyed we got overcooked $36 fish. He removed the dish from our bill, literally snatching the receipt away. When he came back he tossed the new receipt and walked away, saying nothing. Really lousy experience all the way around. What a massive disappointment. Contrast this with profoundly enjoyable experience a few nights later at Barcelona Wine Bar. They get it right.

Great restaurant. Good drink selection and service was awesome. The cheese beignet were amazing light and the cheese sauce was drinkable it was so good.I had the halibut (pic) was very good, wife had the salmon was delicious. Place was hard to find parking so plan accordingly.

Stopped by for lunch, first time in. Warm sexy finish-out. Pork Chop and Brussels were spot-on! Will be back soon!
Went to Goodwin's for lunch and it was fantastic! You walk in and it has a classic feel and excellent hip music to counter the old school impression. Service was attentive and engaging, just enough and not too much.
Food is stellar. I had the chicken milenesa. They kind of put a salad on top of the potato chip crusted chicken and the sauce has such a tasty lemon tang. It was so, so good.
Fries are fried in beef tallow - huge bonus points.
Oh, and the apps. Was it Nancy's Dip? Whoever's dip it is, it's delicious. And the pita strips are just the right amount crispy
Also had the cheese beignets. I would really call them beignets. I would call them awesome. Crispy outer shell holds a cheesy and almost gnocchi like inside. Really good
Wine list is very well thought out and plenty of great options at fair prices.
This place is a bit of a drive for me but I'll definitely be back

Goodwin’s has exceeded our expectations, if you want a nice dinner and a fancy cocktail this is the place. Look for Clara if you ever go to Goose bar, she was awesome!
