Second time at this location and it was just as great as the first time. Normally I go to the Fort Worth location but it's a bit further.I was really bummed showing up because we had to pay for parking. It was $17! My first comment was "I have to pay to eat here because it's in the middle of Dallas?" Right as I walked in Ashley and some others greeted us. She asked if we had paid for parking and to scan a QR code to get a refund. Thank you!Ashley was fantastic, she served us last time. She is on her game all the time. Very sweet and very attentive. For a Friday night, it wasnt too busy around 7:30. A few more tables started filling up around 8:00.The food came out so fast! The fried pickle spears are delicious. The fried chicken is easily one of the best in DFW. It's got a nice kick to it. The fries and Mac are also very good. I'll always recommend Gus's chicken!

Really good fried chicken that was hot, fresh, and nicely spiced. The mac and cheese I didn't care for though - besides a little cheese flavor, didn't taste like much and it had more paprika sprinkled on top than the fries had seasoning.

This location is great now that there is a new store manager. He’s wonderful and has turned this place around. The food was fantastic. The service was great! I will be returning!
Perfect location Downtown? Dallas, the atmosphere if lively and the chicken ? is hot and fresh. No frills dining in the heart of the city!! The chicken was delicious and didn't last long on my plate☺️ I was pleasantly surprised that the sides were also tasty. Prices are good in my opinion. I would return if I find myself in the area, especially on a late night!

Food was decent. I was honestly slightly disappointed given the hype of the place but it was good enough to somewhat understand their good reputation. Some of the staff were very attentive and nice but we ended up with a waitress who didn’t pay us any attention so that was frustrating. They have a parking lot but be aware of people standing by charging to park in the lots near by. Never experienced such a thing so not sure if it was a scam or not. We ended up parking a few blocks away since the immediate lot was full

Great service, food came out in a decent time. Chicken was fresh and hot, crispy and juicy. Could use some heat but all in all good. Mac and cheese was delicious! Creamy gooey cheesy hot. I absolutely loved the slaw, it was fresh crisp cold and flavorful. It was definitely a hit here and will be returning. Prices are ok, for the product it’s worth it. Check it out.

I was excited to try this place. My coworker and I order via Uber Eats.The food was delivered hot and looked great. Then it went downhill fast after finding hair in my food. I KNOW it's not mime because of the color. Since the bag was tied tight upon delivery, it wasn't the driver. This came from the restaurant.I am truly disappointed and definitely will NOT try Gus again.
