The food, service and atmosphere was good. The reason I rated 3 stars is because the customers there were so inconsiderate. About a third of the tables were taken up with individuals on their laptops. I get it, the place has that modern day coffee shop atmosphere, but do your thing and move on.

Did not have the best experience. Ordered matcha and latte. Both tasted watered down. Will not be returning.

Cute coffee shop! Definitely take a look at their syrup list - They even have several homemade syrups.
Took my coworkers here to finish up some work together. Sophie made me a delicious carajillo drink, and my coworkers raved about their halcyon mac dish! Later in the evening, Jose made a delicious drink from their seasonal menu that tasted EXACTLY like a Klondike bar!!! Definitely coming by again!

Definitely recommend the mimosas, there is such a different variety from most places in Dallas. My waiter, Joel was the absolute best. 10/10 Definitely recommend.

We love Halcyon! We’ve been bringing our son here since he was a few weeks old with our dogs in tow - they always make space for us either inside or on the patio with the dogs. The food is awesome and the coffee is great quality. Hector is always so welcoming and the rest of the staff is so kind. Looking forward to many more Saturday mornings here!

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host was extremely rude and made us feel like we weren’t good enough to be there. We were told to sit on the couches inside, but no one bothered to tell us this was NOT a service area. We sat there for over 45 minutes, completely ignored, thinking someone would come take our order.
When we finally went to the bar ourselves to ask for service, the bartender was just as rude and dismissive. He told us, in a very condescending way, that we were not going to be served because we weren’t in a service area again, something no one told us. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation, he acted like we were the problem.
I asked if he could at least make what we wanted, and he reluctantly agreed, but with a horrible attitude that made the whole interaction uncomfortable and unpleasant.
Overall, this place has terrible customer service, rude staff, and zero accountability. No guest should be made to feel ignored, unwelcome, or embarrassed like this. Completely ruined the experience.

Long Island iced coffee does not disappoint
Easily one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. None of the employees seemed like they wanted to be there—zero energy, zero effort. The baristas act untouchable, and you can tell management’s hands are tied. Honestly, I almost feel bad for the manager; it’s like he’s stuck in a hole he dug himself, unable to hold anyone accountable because they’d probably cry “discrimination.” A great space completely wasted by a staff that doesn’t care.

Great coffee and even better customer service. Our server, Cristian, was super sweet. I personally didn’t like the skillet eggs and hated the bacon but my partner’s French toast was amazing.

Great Food & Vibe, but Drinks Disappoint
Brunch at Halcyon was a mix of highs and lows. The burrito bowl, chicken salad, grilled cheese, and chicken sandwich were all satisfying — fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The food definitely hit the spot.
The ambiance was one of the highlights — cozy, relaxed, and perfect for a slow weekend brunch with friends. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over your meal and enjoy good conversation.
Service was average — not bad, but could’ve been a bit more attentive. The real downside was the alcoholic drinks, which were underwhelming and poorly balanced. They didn’t match the quality of the food or the vibe of the café.
Overall, Halcyon delivers great food and atmosphere, but the drinks need serious improvement. Worth visiting for brunch — just maybe stick to coffee or juice next time!
