The restaurant was closed and we had to find another place to dine. Looking inside it appeared to have been closed for some time. I did receive a voice mail at 5:05 pm telling me it was closed for our 6:00 pm reservation.
This restaurant is horrible. They've inconvenienced me several times by not honoring their published hours of operation. I've visited with family for a wedding anniversary, invited clients, attempted to host a team celebration and a new hire only to arrive to a completely dark and empty restaurant. It really is such an inconvenience. They don't even take the time to notify you that they will not be open when you have a reservation.
The food was HORRIBLE. I normally dont leave reviews but it was so bad as i was walking out of the restaurant i wanted to warn people walking in! The manager handled it well thankfully. But seriously the food was disgusting.
Went for my husband's birthday. Wagyu burger was the worst burger I've had in a long time. The meat was way over cooked and super dry and the bun was so burnt, my husband ate his burger with half a bun. The food was WAAAYYY overpriced. The service was wonderful and the drinks were good. For the price, I would never return.
Service was excellent and server was knowledgeable about the menu. They were out of things on the menu and for a Friday was very empty. Service for a nice restaurant was good not too fast and selection was great. Just the food was ok. The tempora asparagus was great but the other food was just ok. Nice oyster though.
WORST dining experience ever! It was embarrassing as I brought beloved clients. Wagyu Filet was not...replaced with cheap Skirt Steak and was absolutely raw. Shrimp was raw. Halibut was not prepared as requested. NOTHING WAS EDIBLE. Waited 2 hours and we sent everything back because it was not edible. Sad as staff (the 4 that were trying) seemed dazed and confused. Maybe just close this restaurant and start over.
This honestly hurts to write it because the location is great and the decor is good! This might be the worst experience at a restaurant I've ever had. Our waiter Chris was basically mute and missing. Our meal took over an hour and my friends meal was room temp and poorly flavored scallops. My rolls were fine but with the amount of time they took, it should have been better. The table next to us warned us as soon as we sat down that everything was taking forever. We will not be returning.
Food was really great, loved the ambiance, waiter was attentive and polite HOWEVER THE SERVICE WAS VERY VERY VERY SLOW. APPEARED TO BE A SLOW KITCHEN. As the restaurant was NOT full it should not have been so slow. We waited over 30 min for a dessert. Overall dinner took 3 hours with drinks, appetizer, main, and dessert. (We aren't fast eaters, but never stay longer than 2 hours even for a very nice dinner on a regular evening out.)
It was simple to get a last minute reservation. We were seated quickly and then served quickly. Our server was absolutely fantastic. She knew the menu, was pleasant and complimentary, and attentive. This was our first visit, and we would definitely like to return!
Showed up at restaurant and it was closed. Very very disappointed. I had planned it for a birthday. For a Saturday night and no other reservations, I was livid. A no show to us- they said there was a charge of $50!!! Well, what about a no show to the restaurant??? Do you think I ever want to make reservations there again? NO

First of all.... I made a reservation for 8 people at 7pm. It was for this past Friday, January 6. It was a corporate dinner after a long days work. When we arrived at the restaurant it was CLOSED! We were exhausted, hungry and looking forward to an amazing meal. Unfortunately, we will never give this place another chance. There was no sign on the door explaining the closure and if they need to close down for the day, then they should have changed settings on Open Table so customers couldn't make a reservation. Not only that. We were then stuck, on a busy Friday night in Dallas, searching for a restaurant that could take our sized party.
Will not be going to this restaurant again. The value of our Food was not close to what we expected! Took 2 + hours for service and although it was New Years Eve, management should of done a better job to be ready for spike in business. We found this place as a last resort due to more popular restaurants booked up, and faster than we thought, we understood why. Most patrons had the same feedback as us.
Specialty drink smokin pineapple created by Mya is amazing! The southwestern egg rolls are a great starter. The flatiron with the peppercorn sauce was excellent as a main dish with mashed potatoes as a side. The main course was accompanied with a glass of Malbec. Finally, I enjoyed a dram of Ardbeg, I am always happy to see that on the top shelf. Overall, excellent food and service. I felt like royalty the entire time I enjoyed my experience at Hawthorne.
Atmosphere could be elevated so easily by removing fake floral and bringing in fresh touches. Initial real arrangement at hostess desk had pink in a primarily red themed space. No valet was disappointing upon arrival. Food is fresh and flavorful as are cocktails. Service good.
Very nice waiter and food was great! Good ambiance. Don't be in a hurry though. It took about 15 minutes for our first round of drinks and forever for our food even though the restaurant had about 6 tables occupied. A lot of staff but everyone seemed to be standing around talking. Will go back if we have a couple of hours to relax and dine. Great pic spot at ATT outside.
