Haywire absolutely blew me away. Our server, Shadiya, was AMAZING!!! She took her time answering all of our questions, gave incredible recommendations, and was so kind and patient throughout the entire experience. The food was outstanding. We had the garlic-stuffed filet with Brussels sprouts, and it was cooked perfectly. We shared the crab dip and onion rings, and every appetizer was a hit, I was eating so fast because everything tasted amazing . This was my first time in Dallas, and between the food and the service, the experience was phenomenal. The manager even stopped by to chat with us and was incredibly sweet, which made us feel so welcomed. At one point I just looked around the restaurant and noticed how much fun everyone was having. The ambience was vibrant, warm, and inviting. Haywire's hospitality is truly like no other. Can't wait to come back.
The service was amazing and a great shout out to the manager for saturday night I didn't get his name he was so accommodating it was a little cold in the restaurant where they originally had us sitting because of it bein 30 degrees outside he moved our table somewhere warmer, the waiter we had was phenomenal great spirit and attitude I would recommend this place 100 times over! Ambiance, and energy was great!
We had a fun birthday celebration at Haywire this past weekend. The restaurant was hopping on a Saturday night, but we were escorted to our table within a few minutes of arrival. Our server was friendly and efficient and we had drinks in-hand quickly. Our appetizer of fried green tomatoes was delicious! For the entrees, we had steaks, porkchops, redfish, and the stroganoff. Steaks were cooked to our specifications and everything was hot and very tasty. The only exception was the side of mac and cheese. It was dry, dry, dry - with very little cheese. That was the only disappointment. The rest of the meal, including the complimentary birthday bread pudding, was outstanding! Although we prefer the ambiance of their sister restaurant, The Ranch, this was a great experience and we'll be back.
We have eaten here several times over the years and have always had a positive experience. This visit was a miss for us. We had a 2:00 reservation and were finally seated at 2:20 in a restaurant that was not even half-filled. It was also ice cold in the restaurant, and it never warmed up. We had to wear our warm jackets during the meal, as did the other patrons. The employees were also wearing jackets, and the very cold temperature in the restaurant contributed to a really miserable experience. In addition, the chicken fried steak that I ordered was the smallest, thinnest, most bland chicken fried steak I have ever eaten. The server was also not the quality I have had on my other visits-she would disappear for long periods of time, her pacing was way off, and she did not seem super reliable. Haywire just fell off my list of restaurants to visit in Dallas. I will be dining elsewhere!
Our service was fantastic. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the establishment's history.
Host upset due to asking to move table due to a pregnant women uncomfortable fitting in a half table. This was a first time experience was not aware to make reservations. Was informed that this messes up their evening seatings, restaurant was not busy nor had any wait. Will be the first and last time we visit.
We booked our office Christmas party 6 weeks in advance and planned everything carefully. Today, the DAY of the party, we were told our reservation was CANCELLED because a bigger party came along. Months of planning thrown out the window for someone else. This is disrespectful, unprofessional, and outrageous. A restaurant that cannot honor a confirmed reservation clearly does not care about its customers. If you value your time, your plans, or your holiday celebrations, do not trust this place.
place is good during holidays

This was my sixth visit to this Haywire location, second time dining with one of the partners of my rehabilitation program. I should note I am much younger than the person joining me today at brunch. Unfortunately, both times I have visited with an older individual, the experience at the front of the restaurant has been noticeably uncomfortable.
I was not greeted at the door, and throughout the visit the hostesses appeared cold and uninviting toward us. Likely due to the age gap and her assumptions that we may have been dating. On this most recent visit, even as we were leaving, the two hostesses at the front—one of the women dressed in white with white cowboy boots—gave multiple judgmental looks and continued to be unwelcoming.
Because this is a pattern I’ve experienced on two different visits, I felt it was important to share with others. In my personal experience, if you’re dining with someone of a different race, ethnicity, or age—whether it’s an adopted family member who doesn’t look like you, an older coworker, or simply someone outside your demographic—you may encounter treatment that feels discriminatory or unequal.
To be clear, not everyone at Haywire behaved this way. The bartender was very kind, attentive, and treated us just like any other guests. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere and décor are genuinely wonderful. It’s disappointing that the front-of-house experience overshadowed what could have been a great meal.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because the hospitality at the door and as she walked through the restaurant truly sets the tone for the entire visit.

Really good chicken fried checken and the service was great as well. Calm vibe tonight as this is the Friday after Thanksgiving, got a good seat at the end of the bar. I will absolutely return. Reasonable prices for the location.

Great food - really delicious. Drinks took a while to come, almost same time as food. No coffee, apart from drip, available.
