Best Mexican/ Texmex food in DFW. Best chili con carne in Texas. Don't fill up on chips & salsa. Save room for sopappilas.

We have been going to Herrera's Cafe since it was on Denton Dr. Then they moved to Harry Hines. We love their Crazy Nachos. The full order is enough for 2 people.

Excellent Tex Mex. Awesome hot sauce with great flavor and heat. Everything on menu is a winner. Chicken fajitas have tomato slice grilled with bell pepper and onions….these are to die for. Margaritas don’t disappoint. Top notch service.

True hidden Gem, I've been coming to Hererras with my family for 25+ years now. Between around 10 different locations in Dallas, they're down to 1. If you're debating on dining here, do yourself a favor and give it a try. Salsa is not for the weak hearted, extremely good and even more addicting. Menu is good old fashioned with around 50 different meals to choose from, so you can get exactly what you want everytime. I've tried at least 200 different Texmex places and nobody can ever come close to the quality of Hererras when it comes to taste, consistency, and overall value

Im sorry but this is not it! I’ve had better Tex-Mex than this! Ground beef tasted like they wrapped it in a mildew towel. Queso was watered down. Steak was too dry and tough. Overly priced for quality. Im so disappointed bc I really enjoyed the background history on back of menu and had looked forward to a great experience but it just wasn’t! Even customer service was not great!! Our waiter never came and checked on us, we sat for 15min waiting for a bill that was not worth it!

This is the worst restaurant
The "crazy nachos" they gave me
had a hair like 4 inches long in it. The waitress said she didn't see any hair. Ok, here I have the proof and Also my friend food had a like 5 pieces of eggshell, bad attention to the client and they don't gave me a drink they gave me only fckg ice

Herrera's is back, baby! Good, old-school Tex-Mex in a dive-ish place reminiscent of the old Maple Ave place. You have to ask for bean soup to start, but it's still complimentary. This will be a weekly standard for us now. Nice patio.
