Mr. Clemons is a cook and I had an awkward encounter with him. He was very rude. He did not like that I had a food allergy list. The bar atmosphere and everything were great. I would not trust the guy with the Texas hand tattoo
Worst concert venue I've been to. $50 for 2 single shot badly made drinks
Great place! Lots of fun!
Great food and ambience.
There was a long line getting in the building but the show was great! Also they only have pepsi products. Was hoping for whiskey and coke. Whiskey with pepsi is just not the same
Nice place for company events and intimate concerts.
Been here twice already. Great experiences both times!
Great venue spot
We always have a great time, this is why we keep going back!!! I even got to find some great new friends..
Should be called, House of Music. This is not a blues spot. They have pretty much every other genre of music accept for blues. Could be that nobody listens to blues anymore but this is sad. I understand they have to do what they have to do to make money but they should change their name.

Hannah Bahng - WORST EVER NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!!!! 5/5
It is a small venue, but a good view of the stage. Restrooms were cleaned and visible, easy to find. Entrace was fairly fast. Valet parking is available. Bar is available for 21 and older.
1 star only because can’t give a zero! House of Blues Dallas seems to have a pervasive culture of rudeness and contempt towards patrons. Nice until after you’ve paid your money. At the end of performance 2 women in our group needed to use restroom. The restroom on upper floor had an extremely long line so we went downstairs near exit. Security came over and immediately started yelling at us to get out. We explained our situation but they were insistent we leave building. We said we were uncomfortable about leaving the 2 behind, especially since one had been drinking and we were her designated driver. The security guards basically said they didn’t care, and moved closer to us in a physically intimidating manner. I was astonished that the security people felt the need to escalate our interaction in such a threatening way. So rude and unnecessary with a small group of middle aged and senior citizens. I even explained we would have been outside already but there aren’t enough restrooms for women. 1 security guy agreed but said we still had to wait outside. Thankfully the 2 from the restroom joined us just then. I probably wouldn’t have gone to the lengths of writing this long review except that as we headed towards the exit, other HOB staff also began yelling to get outside. There were still dozens of others in the lobby and merchandise area. The show had been over for less than 30 minutes. The staff behaved as if the patrons were a huge nuisance and this soured the entire evening. I doubt we will ever attend another function at this venue
This review is for the event space and concert going experience specifically.
Good things : Parking was easy, there are tons of options even if there are several events going on in the same area. Signage was clear and we had an easy time getting in.
Inside, the sound was good and the decor and lighting were great.
Bad things : The check in process for the show we went to took way too long. The venue could not get people in the door fast enough, creating a huge line that was incredibly slow moving. By the time the opening act was finishing their set there were still people coming in the door that had been in line since the time the doors opened. Food and drinks were insanely expensive. The VIP sections are massive and general admission ticket holders can be squeezed in super tight in bad viewing angles to the stage while there are a bunch of empty tables taking the best views.
Overall there are much better concert experiences to be had at several of the other venues in the DFW area. I'll be disappointed when I see bands I like making their tour stops in this venue.
I drove 6 hours to attend the Front Bottoms show last night. My favorite band for over a decade. To start, we had to ask staff members three times exactly what the procedure was for getting to the show room and when, as we were first lead to a bar with no further explanation. And then told there was some kind of misprint and the event would actually be an hour later than previously stated. So we arrived over two hour earlier than we needed to after driving about six hours to be there. Once we got into the show room, there were clearly posted signs stating ‘’no fighting’ and ‘no moshing’. A group of people around us mentioned this, and then clearly stated that they did not care and if they got in trouble would claim they did not see the signs and would say they were not clearly posted. They proceeded to try to mosh the entirety of the event. My partner and I were rammed into, shoved, hit, knocked over, and stepped on the ENTIRE night and not a single staff member ever said anything to them. One of them spilled a beer all over me and the floor. Then my partner was yelled at and reprimanded just for having a sign for the band, when there was NO posted rules against this anywhere, and it’s extremely common at shows. Really just shows how wrong the staff members priorities are, and/or how little they care or are paying attention. Even at the merch table and while standing in line staff members were very rude. The only kind staff there was the bouncer at the 21+ entrance who checked our ID’s and tickets. We spent 12 hours round trip to get to the show, $100+ dollars on merch and drinks alone, plus the cost of the tickets, and were treated poorly by staff and had our night ruined by inconsiderate people in the crowd that were never once asked to stop or tone it down and almost caused physical altercations. Extremely disappointing to put it lightly.
