The donut shop is alright, but I have a preference for more traditional options; simplicity tends to appeal to me. I'd suggest grabbing a donut here and then heading next door to LDU for some excellent coffee to complement it.

Whether you’re coming to the Dallas Arboretum or not, this doughnut shop is worth the drive.Bruce takes a pride in his craft that is worth experiencing. If you’re fortunate, he’ll chat with you about the history of the Bismarck. If you’re not, you’ll just get an amazing doughnut or kolache.Definitely worth a visit.

These donuts are beyond delicious! The owner, a true gentleman, adds an extra layer of warmth to the experience. His kindness shines through as he interacts with customers, making every visit memorable. And let's not forget about the chicken biscuit--simply amazing! It's been a joy to bring my family here and share in the wonderful atmosphere.

Biscuits are absolutely dialed. Highly recommend the Amy. Perfect spot to pop in and grab a bite before walking around the Arboretum.

Lovely neighborhood donut shop near the Dallas Arboretum that totally hit the spot for a sweet treat. I had dropped off my teens for an outing at the Dallas Arboretum and was glad I stopped by. The employees were genuinely friendly and the interior is cozy and welcoming. There was a steady stream of customers who dined in line myself. The owner was in the midst of trying to hang blinking lights from the ceiling as a fun, whimsical addition to the decor. He didn't miss a beat, and after wearing the hat of being a lights installer, he switched back to the counter to warmly greet customers while explaining the menu items and selling his donuts. The signature item is the Homer donut (strawberry glazed with sprinkles). I had a sausage biscuit with gravy that was delicious, and I got a chocolate eclair to go for my daughter. Thank you Hypnotic Donuts for the yummy breakfast I enjoyed this morning!

I will say- not the biggest donut fan but i loved this place! I love that they have sweet and savory options. We had a tres leches and chocolate cake donut, jalapeño kolache and chicken biscuit. I am obsessed either way the tres leches donut- it was so yummy! My biggest problem with donuts is that they're always overly sweet but this wasn't. It was so good. Love the strawberries and cream on top. I could eat it every day. The biscuit i got was the kaye with pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, cream cheese and chicken. Omg was it delish and huge. The biscuit was so fresh and soft- no dry biscuit here. This is a great place to stop before or after the arboretum- its only 2 min down the road. Will definitely be back. The shop looks like it was decorated by a college student and is kind of funky, but there is some Cute artwork on the walls. The folks working there were very friendly. (I dont find that as much with younger folks so was pleasantly surprised.)

Disappointed with my experience today. I ordered an Aimee with Nashville hot chicken. I have had their fried chicken biscuits many, many times and usually rant and rave to my friends about them. Today, the chicken separated completely from the batter and was slipping out of the biscuit. Hot grease burned my hands and mouth. This is not the usual experience I have here. Just writing a review in hopes of getting the consistency I’m used to.

I ordered the kaye chicken biscuit. The chicken was so tough I couldn't bite through it. The kolache was cold and hard.

Overpriced below average donuts. Second time trying them. I got the purple haze and the pb and c $8. Both were just ok. I just wish they put some effort in making the flavors pop like the names do.

I love the food even though it's not diabetic friendly lol. It's a great place to take visiting family and those that have never been there. A once in a lifetime experience. Ambience is good just wish that had more seating inside.

Hadn’t been here since college. Such unique donut combinations available. Super friendly staff that was helpful when selecting. I got quite a few different one’s, from a maple bacon eclair, to a blueberry fritter, to an espresso pistachio cream donut. They were fantastic. I also ordered a couple different chicken sandwiches from the menu, the Nashville hot one and the Kaye. Both were ok, the biscuit was really dry and chicken didn’t have much seasoning of flavor. Overall a good spot for donuts, wouldn’t have the chicken again.

I would love to give this place a good review, but they weren’t open at 6:30 as advertised. So I just decided to be healthy and skip the donuts and have yogurt that day. ??‍♂️
