Stopped in for the very first time today and had the Mushroom Burger. One of the worst burgers I have ever had. I bit into the bun and had to actually look for the burger. Well done, dry and NO flavor whatsoever. Coke was 3/4 ice and 1/4 soda. Fries well, if you like greasy, uncooked fries then go here. $18.00 and I left the girls 25% tip because the service was friendly and prompt. A Big Mack and fries are probably less than $10.00 and they have some flavor and you can actually find the burgers. I usually do write reviews however, it definitely was way at the bottom of my list of burger to buy again.

Awesome Experience. Our waiter Diana ( I hope I spelled it right) was a doll super friendly, great service. She was polite and very attentive. The gm (i'm assuming) was very friendly accommodated our 8 top in a flash. 10/10 stars

My family came is as a party of 7 and they were able to seat us quickly. Cassie was our server. She was super friendly and made great recommendations to our family who has never been. The half fried pickles and half fried Jalapeños is our favorite appetizer here. I had the Hot Hickory and added grilled onions. Super juicy and adding the hot sauce they had on their tables made it perfectly spicy for me. Never a disappointment when I've been here.

Love this location! Walked right in, no crazy line and got greeted right away. Gabby is especially an awesome waiter! She was very attentive and sweet! Food was good and fresh! definitely recommend! Coming back

Snuffers? Is this Snuffers? My first thought after walking in, seeing the menu and colors. Saturday night and was having trouble finding a place still open where I could get something to eat! Menu has all the classic offering you would expect out of a burger joint. I have seen Jake’s locations before, but never hit me in the mood.Despite it’s location it was slow and I found a parking spot! My server/bartender was on the money and attentive. Went with the Jake’s special over the other offerings and it turned out to be perfect. I liked the shredded Iceberg lettuce and Thousand Island. The burgers definitely a 80/20 or less, bit to me they were not overly greasy. I was worried the poppyseed bun was going to be more of a roll. But I found it airy and soft. It held together the entire burger and earned mega points with me. My burger was slightly out of the pink zone but was not dried up either.Definitely going back and I would go here over Snuffers any day of the week.

I had heard so much about this place that I had to stop by today. I have to say, I experienced very little value for the money I paid. Almost nine dollars for a single hamburger patty on a giant poppyseed bun. I just took the bottom off and wrapped the top bun around the tiny hamburger patty. What a waste of money.

Jalepenos bottlecap bacon burger... Best burger in town hands down. Environment was relaxing, inviting and staff was some of the best we've experienced in a very long time. Salsa, tots, queso, chips... Everything we got was better than expected for a very reasonable price. This will be a staple in our trips to Stars games. We'll done Jake

Stopped in for the second time in a week! 15 years ago I use to skip class and go sit on the patio... the burgers are still as delicious now as they were then. The consistency of this uptown staple is amazing. So sorry to hear they will be closing this fall. On a very positive side the bartender Courtney P. was amazing... quick to have a convo, funny, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable (not only of the menu, but the uptown area... impressive for just moving to TX)

Stopped in late for the second time in a week. Courtney P. was awesome! Our food came out fast and on point. The entire time, Courtney, my wife, and I were laughing and joking the entire hour that we were there. We'll definitely be going back.

The food has always been mediocre: the pattys overcooked and dry, but partly compensated for by the variety of toppings; the fries are often soggy or undercooked. But the ambiance and service manage to be spot-on. The laid-back sports bar vibe combined with the friendly, prompt service makes it a go-to neighborhood spot for us, especially on weekends when every uptown restaurant has a 30+ minute wait. Would we drive out of our way to come here though? Probably not.

Not great. First time here and it reminded me of Snuffers but I feel Snuffers is better. Took forever to get our drinks and food actually came out before them. One of the missing items came on someone else's plate and instead of bringing out another one we were told to eat them off the other persons plate. We were missing food through the whole meal. My cheese fries were very overdone and the cheese was crunchy from being over cooked. We barely saw our server and when we did she'd only talk to the front lady of the table and not any of us at the back.

Fantastic burgers here! Very relaxed, Southern bar atmosphere with friendly staff and bartenders. A must-visit if you're in Uptown Dallas!

Not only do I work for Jake's, but I started at just being a customer. The hamburgers here are so delicious. I guess I'm kind of a picky eater, so before I worked here, I was afraid to get anything but just a cheeseburger. Since I've been working here, I've gotten to try a variety of burgers, appetizers, (fried pickles!!), yummy !!! And every single thing I've tried here has just been absolutely amazing.
