The best Italian shop in the neighborhood. Wait time sometimes can be long, but worth it.

My mom Jan Gore was(rip) a huge supporter of Jimmy's for decades. Our restaurant and booth at the State Fair used a lot of their products. A few weeks before she passed my gf and I came for turkey sandwiches and were bumped repeatedly (black) while white patrons got their food. Jimmy was too busy to respond. After close to an hour, with over 15 other orders served before us they said our ticket was misplaced. When we got our order we left and had to double back..it was incorrect.Sad this day and age we live in..So, fast forward a few months later..Talked to the BROTHER who is the main chef in the hot and prepared food in the rear. He instantly asked what I needed when he saw me and made my turkey sandwich on the spot and it was as wonderful as the first time I went there over 30 yrs ago..Ty you!And Jimmy too. Tell them Xavier sent you.. enjoy!

I always buy parmesano reggiano as the best deal in town. I also buy Jimmy's pasta sauces and miscellaneous things while I'm there. It's a crowded place but that's part of the atmosphere. Love going there!

Authentic Italian, locally owned. It's so good living around the corner is almost problematic. Had the Muffuletta and they added Ghirardelli peppers for me. Was unbelievable. Everyone is super friendly and very helpful.

The first and still the best Italian market in Dallas. Large selection of fresh veggies, dry and fresh pastas, canned Italian tomatoes, wine and other Italian essentials at very reasonable prices. Also the best fresh made Italian sandwiches in Dallas.Spicy Jimmy’s Sausage/Peppers and Pork Philly with broccoli rabe are my favorites.Unfortunately, there is still no seating since COVID…to-go only.

LOVE this store! If it’s your first time go early on a weekday so you can have someone show you around. My favs - smoked mozz, anything from deli counter, their homemade Italian sausage is amazing. And if you know what pork roll is they sell it there. It’s a must if you’re cooking Italian!

This is what I would expect if it were 1940s NYC. This place definitely get a lot of business. So expect to wait a little while. Completely worth it though.
