I saw all of the reviews regarding the food not being seasoned, but I still wanted to give this place a chance. Today, I paid $70 for tilapia, 2 orders of fries with 6 & 9 pieces of shrimp and 2 rib sandwiches. Everything accept the hushpuppies, sandwiches and fries were flavorless. The tilapia was overcooked, shrimp had no flavor and the coleslaw was bland. The ribs were pretty good, but I can't say the same for the barbecue sauce. I hate wasting money and throwing away food! Not sure if they had a bad day, but I probably won't go back.
Maaaan being from Galveston, it’s hard finding a decent seafood spot in Dallas. This is the one for me. Mick takes care of you as soon as you walk in the door and the food is freshhhhh baby.

Joe's follows the shotgun approach to their menu. With seafood, burgers and barbecue, everyone can find something to love here. I had the Catfish Filet Basket which had two huge filets, fries and cole slaw. My buddy had the fish tacos which he allowed me to sample. Both were really good. Just look at the size of those filets( see photo)! We also had the frog legs which were tasty. Bring an appetite when you go to Joe's. We went on a Sunday after church and just beat the rush. I am going to come back to try the BBQ and burgers real soon. The service was the most personable I've received in a long time and it was appreciated. The atmosphere was okay, but it was a little stuffy in there due to the fryers being up front. This is a small matter and don't let it sway you from experiencing Joe's. ?

The food is outstanding! Spicy gumbo, huge shrimp big fat oysters, generous catfish filets all cooked to perfection. Friendly service. We travel down from Plano for Broadway Dallas, and we now have a new ‘go-to’ spot for dinner! We’ll definitely will be back.
The food was really good! I had the catfish po boy with a side of fries that also came with 3 hushpuppies. The catfish was super crispy and flavorful. The fries were amazing. Hush puppies were godly. My wife had the burger and she said it was delicious. The employees were great and very fast. Overall was a great experience. Will come back very soon.
40+ years in operation. How bout that!Darn good BBQ brisket sammy. Triple fried platter of shrimp, oyster and mud cat satisfies. Don’t miss the homemade gumbo. It’s got okra so you know it’s legit. Eat on this now people!

Always pass by this place… seen the sandwiches 2 for $6… but when i stepped and saw menu i saw gumbo something hard to find. My second time stepping in getting a bigger bowl of gumbo & IT IS GOOD…..
Happened upon this place when we came to this part of time for a coffee shop, so glad we did. It was delicious. The people were very nice very nice and we had some good talks and laughs with them. The place itself had a good down to earth feeling and the food was sooo good. I always order Po' Boys and this was the best one I've gotten. We got the catfish and the shrimp po' boy, nothing was over cooked (very easy to do with shrimp), and the batter was perfectly seasoned and not bland at all. Presentation was also surprisingly cute. I'll be coming here again and you should too!
