Best hole in the wall tacos and burgers! I highly recommend! This is my favorite taco place, but I love the Mexican burgers and their whole menu is outstanding and delicious.

This restaurant is located in the back of a gas station convenience store. It has a nice patio but a very limited indoor sitting area. The food is authentic mexican cuisine. Keep in mind is more a takeout than a dine in restaurant.

Very good burger and fries combo! They call it a platter I guess because they don’t offer drinks. My daughter sent me a link about this place the other day because she knows I am always looking for the quintessential burger and I love me a good “dive” especially if it involves going to the back of an old convenience store! I walked in and was the first in line, two other guys ordered right after me and none of us waited too long.
I got the classic burger platter and asked them to add bacon which. The meat had good flavor, the bacon was substantial and the lettuce, tomato and pickles were fresh. I assume the bacon accounted for the extra two dollars I paid.
Side note: my favorite place to eat in San Antonio was a very similar establishment but right by our office so I always knew I’d have ketchup at our office. I ordered this meal to-go at John’s and asked for a lot of ketchup. I was given five little packets which I knew wouldn’t be enough but I am always hesitant to ask for more. (I never waste ketchup). I normally have a secret stash in the car but I was borrowing a car with ours in the shop…no luck! I ran out of ketchup but that was not necessarily Johns fault. Still an excellent burger and I’d go back.
Also - as I alluded above, if you want a drink you have to order that separately from the convenience store.

I haven’t been here in years and today I happened to be around the area and stopped by for lunch, Im glad to see the same friendly faces always very welcoming ?
The hamburger was delicious and the Salsas are always on point!

Saw a video on TikTok and was like ok why not. It looks good. And I’m glad we drove the 30 mins to try this place. Got the Mexican burger and chicken torta. That was a dam good cheeseburger. Tasted vehicle fresh and just the right amount of spicy. The fries seem to be freshly cut and delicious. The guys working here are also very friendly.

One of those unassuming "hole in the wall" places that doesn't look like much on the outside, being attached to a small gas station, but they can sure make a burger. Beats out several of the surrounding fast food joints by a good bit in both flavor and value. Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere local and unassuming to get a surprisingly great burger.
The tacos are very expensive and small, just one tortilla and they are not good and the guy who serves seems like you are asking for something for free. I don't recommend it.

Best cheeseburger I’ve had in a long time! Reminds me of a backyard bbq. French fries are tossed in some red spices and are really good! Nice causal whole in the wall place where you can have a really good burger and tacos (best combination).
