I love this place. The building it is in is beautiful. The restaurant itself has a much bigger outdoors than indoors, which is very nice to sit out in and enjoy the wonderful food. The food is always great. It sometimes tastes a little weird to my American taste buds, but never bad. It’s a great deal for a buffet that includes drink and a hot and cold dessert.

This restaurant is all hype and zero delivery. The prices are outrageous for what you get. I kept looking at the menu thinking I was missing pages because there are barely any options. The selection is tiny and honestly feels like they didn’t even try. For the price of a decent meal elsewhere, you get basic, plain dishes here that look like they were thrown together without effort. Nothing stands out, and nothing feels worth what they charge. I left feeling totally disappointed and honestly a bit angry. If you’re thinking about trying this place, don’t waste your money. There are plenty of better restaurants that actually give you choices and value for your dollar.

This place was a complete disappointment. The prices are ridiculous for what they offer. Seriously, I felt like I was being ripped off. The menu is so limited that it’s almost laughable. There are barely any choices, and nothing exciting or unique — just boring, overpriced dishes. For the amount they charge, you’d expect at least some variety or quality. Instead, it feels like they’re charging premium prices for cafeteria-level food. I honestly felt cheated. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money — there are plenty of other restaurants that actually care about value and give you real options instead of charging luxury prices for a bare-minimum experience.

I was shocked by the price range , especially because you cannot add to your plate . I’m sure this approach makes people more wasteful and completely misses the point of a buffet menu.
I hope that administration visits Govinda’s in Huston and take note how they deal with presentation, pricing and explanation of the menu.

Has been amazing every time I’ve gone!!! We make it a point to go every time we are in Dallas. Very clearly marked allergens/vegan options, and a great vibe. Will keep coming as long as they are open. They also don’t use vegetable oils in their cooking which is a huge plus if you are sensitive.

This is a nice, cozy restaurant with wholesome food that is delicious and healthy. Both lunch and dinner times are buffet style and all-you-can-eat. There's a few items that aren't included in the buffet and you can purchase separately. They have a food key on a dry erase board on the wall near the buffet that tells you what contains dairy and gluten. It was hard to follow when actually choosing food, and the staff were able to easily tell me which foods contained dairy (only 3 things). It will be helpful for them to also include nuts on the food key for those with nut allergies. I enjoyed myself and definitely recommend this restaurant!
