Best little place for a delicious breakfast and most friendly service. LOVED our cappuccinos ☕️
Amazing food, and I love the vision of a tech driven experience. Highly recommend!
Absolutely great place and love the conversation!
This was unexpected. Don’t be fooled by the location or small amount of seating… every dish they brought out just kept getting better and better! I personally would’ve liked a little less automation and technology in the experience (taking our drink orders while also using a touch screen coffee maker instead of hand-crafting the drinks), but if they’re taking that time saved and putting it into the food - that’s fine by me!

I want to share my experience at La Duni that left me quite confused. I originally went to Ascension, the coffee shop I usually frequent, but it was packed and there was no parking nearby. So, I decided to search for another coffee shop and came across this one.
It’s located in the middle of a factory and warehouse area, which felt a bit sketchy. Upon entering, I was greeted by a short lady with glasses who seemed less than welcoming. To make matters worse, there was no seating available inside, so I had to sit outside.
I thought to myself, “This is a coffee shop, after all.” The same lady eventually approached me with a menu. I ordered just a drink and a small empanada, but she kept trying to push me to order more, which I politely declined.
Later, as I was working, I asked for the bill and paid. After I returned from the restroom, she asked if everything was okay. I said yes, but then she questioned why I hadn’t left her a tip. For just a limeade and a small pastry, I didn’t expect to be expected to tip even less demanded a tip.
Won't be returning and I don't recommend to others to return.

I stopped by La Duni after a menopause convention I'm Oak Lawn, I'm so glad I did! Early afternoon, it was bustling at first, but then the whole place cleared out and I just about had it to myself. It's a tiny space for now, but worth it even to pick up takeout. I had the Havana pork and it was so delicious, I ordered another entree to take back to the Air BnB for dinner, I also ended up taking two Cake In A Jars home. The grand finale, I got to chat with my server Lettie (?) and the owner's husband Taco, our conversation was so wonderful, it made my day! I wish I lived in Dallas I'd be back all of the time

Great place to stop for a good latte to go! Self serve, self pay!
$10 for one empanada. $11 for a very small, excessively sweet cake in a jar. $6 for mediocre chocolate chip cookies. The shop is crammed full of stuff, but the store appears clean and the products have nice packaging. But the prices and the portion size are way out of sync. $10 USD for a small empanada, no meal, nothing. $10.

I had the cava Blanca and French toast. It was absolutely divine. I throughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was very quint and the people are attentive and happy. I will mk sure that we come back again.
This charming spot has easily become one of my favorite places in the city. It's a coffee shop and restaurant that feels uniquely special in every sense. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you, offering a slice of life that feels worlds away from Texas. Its intimate setting fosters a wonderfully communal spirit; you're almost guaranteed to meet friendly new people, creating the warm feeling of being part of one giant family.
The food is fantastic, with massive portions that are only rivaled by the amazing, mouthwatering flavors. The chilaquiles are an absolute must-try! However, the most special thing about this place is its incredible selection of unique coffees and baked goods. They are the true stars of the show and the reason I can never leave empty-handed. A visit isn't complete until I'm walking out with a big bag of their treats to enjoy later. This place is a true gem.

Genuinely, I have only written one other review for a restaurant in my entire life. This deserves every 5 star possible.
1. The most cozy inside environment with warm lighting and coffee machines, etc. there's just such a home vibe to this place.
2. The man helping me was so so kind and helpful in finding a cake that met my needs.
3. All ingredients are listed out so you actually know what you are consuming.
BY FAR THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST TRES LECHES AND TIRAMISU I HAVE TASTED. I don't eat a lot of sugar but I am a tres leches and tiramisu connoisseur. I got 2 jar cakes for my friends, and the excitement and reviews from my friends were definitely genuine and on par with my own experience. Both cakes were not dry at all, and the tiramisu had a well balanced cake to cream ratio. Would definitely come again and everyone should visit.

It’s a three table restaurant so I sat outside at a little two seater on the stoop. Everything was delicious. I ordered the torta cubana with yucca fries, both had so much flavor and the chimichurry was out of this world. I had to try the buttery popover and it too was so good. The coffee was excellent and served with a delicious little cookie. If you are lucky enough to get a place to sit on a Saturday morning you will not regret the experience.
