This location is always busting at the seams when I visit!!! They really do try and get through the line & with your order as fast as they can, which I appreciate. The last several times I’ve gone the avocados toast is good, but the bread could be more toasted. All my drinks are always amazing!! The croissant cookie is always amazing, too!!

I have never had a reason to complain until today. I placed an online order to be picked up at the Oak Lawn location. My order was estimated to be ready at 9:50. I know that it’s a super busy location, so I went in at 9:55. I saw the counter was full, so I went up to check for my order. It wasn’t ready. Fine. I watched as people went in and placed their order and their orders came out. Mine? Still not ready. Again, I know it’s a very busy location so I was fine with waiting. I watched as one of the baristas made coffees for a friend who walked in 20 minutes after I did. I went back up to the counter to check for my order and it still wasn’t there. The barista kept calling names, but name still had not been called. I watched as the barista made pup cups for the dogs that came to the store. I checked again and nothing. It wasn’t until 10:20 that I got up to check again and there was my coffee. Never did they call my name. I’m sorry, but if you’re going to call peoples name out, make sure that it’s everyone’s. I waiting there for 30 minutes after my estimated time thinking that like for everyone else they would call out my name….especially since I had gone up to check multiple times.

This place use to be perfect! They don’t say good morning anymore, or hi welcome in ! Makes me not want to come here as often. The employees don’t even acknowledge me. Look at me with weirdest looks.

I understand they had people in training on Sunday, March 9th, but it’s important for trainees to properly read receipts and follow the instructions which is pretty basic. Everyone makes mistakes, but when allergies are involved, you don’t have the luxury of stopping once the mistake is ingested. We ordered a coffee with oat milk, and the person put regular milk in; my mother-in-law was throwing up for hours until we had to take her to Baylor.

I went in before work to get a chai latte and a fruit toast. As soon as I walked in I greeted the staff and wished them a good morning. I've been to many La la land cafes and it's always been a positive experience so you must imagine my shock when I was greeted with ugly looks and ignored. I tried to look at the menu while I waited to order, and when someone finally bothered to assist me they said "what do you need" in a very rude tone. I dismissed it as some people are not morning people so I was still trying to disregard the hostile environment i walked into. There was no line or many people in the cafe so my Chai latte took no time however almost 15 minutes passed by and I never got my toast or any updates on it. While I was waiting on it I overheard one of the baristas ask "what is she still doing here" and someone else ask me if the nutella toast was mine. I honestly felt scared to ask due to my anxiety at that moment. I finally worked up the courage to ask if they happen to know how much longer my toast would take as I had work to get to. I was then informed it was about an extra 5 minutes, I asked for my order the toast on my order to be cancelled because I had a meeting to get to and was starting to run on my time. A barista started making comments about people being passive aggressive and acting entitled which I'm not sure if it was directed at me but either way that is not topics of proper conversation in front of your costumers. I apologized to the staff assisting me about cancelling the rest of my order and was informed I was okay to go. Never have I ever gone to a café and experienced this kind of hostile behavior, I don't even write reviews but that entire situation was very mind boggling to me, because it felt xenophobic as I was the only non American costumer in there at that time and other costumers where treated kindly and in a timely manner. safe to say I will never return to that location again.

My first visit was a bit chaotic. The workers spelled a lot of ppl’s names wrong or abbreviated them, which caused us not to hear our name clearly. We had to walk up a few times to confirm what was ours. They were also focused more on the conversations they were having amongst each other.

Second time visiting this location. Ordered 3 Queen and 2 Classic avocado toast, pop tarts and drinks. When we got the order we checked and noticed we got 3 classics and 2 queen. We notified the girl at the counter and showed her along with the receipt. Got a snarky remark stating she knows she made 3 queens and took the one box back. Got the order corrected and looked like it was just slapped together. Hmmm… kind not so much.
Place is nicely decorated. It gets busy and tables are not cleaned enough considering the traffic they get. Trash can gets filled with food boxes and when they finally empty it’s done pretty close to tables where you eat.
Cute place though and food is tasty.

1-star for atmosphere. Yes, unfortunately. It doesn’t take too much of an effort to clean the place. The tables were 🤢. The floor was dirty.
Now, coffee was just OK.

La La Land Cafes continue to pop up around Dallas. There’s going to be a flagship location in the vibing area of South Congress down in Austin. I finally decided to check it out and see what the hype is all about. Upon entering, I felt like I had entered a dreamlike state. The yellow color contrasting against the pops of red with the way the lighting is designed made me feel like I was out of touch with reality, borderline delusional. After a fairly long wait they called my name, which snapped me out of my daydream-like euphoria and focused my attention on the mission at hand-the coffee. I took my first sip. I was neither happy nor disappointed. I couldn’t tell if the coffee was robust and flavorful or if the mocha was just masking the coffee. The avacado toast had too much of a lemon tartness to it, but I still enjoyed eating it. To sum it up, I felt like I was a character in a Wes Anderson short film about a Los Angeles, California transplant who moved to Texas and was trying to reorient himself to the simple daily pleasure of getting a coffee…

Cute coffee shop to grab a drink and a quick bite. I came on a Monday and it was very busy. My intent was to do work, but they didn’t have any outlets for computers for me to sit and linger through the day. It was pretty loud even with my headphones on which meant people came to socialize and connect with friends. They had limited caffeine-free options, but the butterfly tea was a good choice for me since I have a caffeine sensitivity. It was the only tea they had without caffeine.
This place is nice overall, but definitely not a place to sit and get work done if you need access to a power outlet. They didn’t have any gluten free options for food so I didn’t eat anything.

The coffee is really good but sometimes, and more often than not, it can be a 25 min wait to receive your coffee.
Ordered ahead only to find out my order was still not ready when I arrived. Wasted 30 minutes waiting on my order, coffee was watered down and never got my pastry! I politely asked for a refund. They had the nerve to prioritize a “regular” customer and were doing everything to help him get his free mug. While I stood there STILL WAITING! There were at least 6 people on staff that I counted and not one of them were able to help me ! Very unprofessional!

The food and coffee were a bit overpriced, and they use a ton of plastic with no option to recycle anything? Why not have have sit down dishes and then to go cups for people?

I drove an hour to visit, only to find out the kitchen doesn’t open until 8 AM. However, I was directed to drive an additional 10 minutes to another location for avocado toast. This wasn’t the best first impression and has left me hesitant to return.
What stood out even more was the noticeable inconsistency in how customers were greeted and treated—it seemed to vary based on appearance. This was deeply disappointing, as everyone deserves the same level of respect and warmth.
On a positive note, the pistachio croissant was excellent (10/10), but the matcha lavender bloom fell short (1/10). Mixed experience overall.
