The pastries are great. The staff are amazing. Environment is ok, kinda sterile. The coffee is a total rip off. Paying almost $7 for a shot of espresso and a dash of milk should be considered a war crime.

my girlfriend and i came today, and it was packed. They took my order, but unfortunately, they forgot about it, which is understandable given how busy it gets on Saturdays. i brought it up to their attention kindly and they upsized both of our drinks for free to make up for the mistake. shoutout to the crew for assisting us while its that busy.

First person of the day to walk in at 7am and order and waited over 20 minutes to get my 2 drinks. Doesn’t make sense.

LaLa Land Cafe brings a whimsical charm to the local coffee scene, though it's not without a few minor hiccups. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by an Instagram-worthy interior with vintage Hollywood-inspired decor and twinkling fairy lights that create a dreamy atmosphere perfect for both work and casual meetups.

Their coffee program deserves praise - the house blend is rich and well-balanced, and their baristas clearly know their craft. The lavender latte, their signature drink, hits all the right notes without being overly sweet. Their pastry selection is a delightful surprise, with the homemade croissants being a standout. The breakfast sandwich, made with local eggs and artisanal cheese, has become my weekend go-to.

Where LaLa Land slightly misses the mark is in consistency. While service is generally friendly, it can be hit-or-miss during busy hours. I've occasionally encountered longer-than-expected wait times, and the quality of latte art can vary depending on who's behind the counter. The limited seating can also be challenging during peak hours, though the turnover is fairly quick.

Pricing is on the higher side for a neighborhood cafe, but the quality of ingredients and the atmospheric experience help justify the cost.

Four stars for creating a charming escape with quality beverages and food, even if there's still some room for improvement in service consistency. It's worth visiting for the ambiance alone, but stay for the coffee and pastries.

I had a great time eating the delicious food at this location. The friendly manager, Liz, took my order and suggested I try the pistachio croissant with dubi chocolate. It was fantastic! I highly recommend it. The atmosphere of Lala Land at this location was clean and inviting. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte with oat milk, which was divine and came out in a decent time.

This was my first time ever going to La La land as we don’t have any where I’m from. I knew when I came to visit Dallas this was the first place I’d be hitting and ended up going all 3 mornings I was here. As soon as we walked in and felt overwhelmed by all the great options, Jocelyn immediately came to the rescue and walked us through and made us feel super welcomed and talked with us the whole time and gave us a cute red bag to help us remember our visit. The Oreo latte was amazing and the burrata avocado toast was outstanding. The whole crew who was working was also amazing!!

Had a great experience at LALA Land! The coffee was amazing, and Sariah at the register recommended a seasonal drink that was amazing. Definitely coming back!

Super disappointed with my visit. Ordered a matcha latte and got a cup full of ice with barely any drink. The excess amount of ice diluted the drink and there was barely any matcha flavor. To make matters worse, I saw the cashier handling pop tarts with her bare hands—no gloves, no tongs. Definitely not the kind of experience I expected. Love the ambiance but the food and staff is not worth my return.

Coffee was good. I liked the design of the cups. Very interesting place. But… I got a chocolate chip cookie. Totally dry. I might go back for a coffee. Definitely not for a dry paper weight.

Get to know this place! Their food and drinks are great, BUT their story/mission are truly inspiring and worthy of your support! Love the people here!

Kid-friendliness: Read their story on their website!

I really like La La Land because you kind of know what to expect walking in. Most of the locations look like a recent SMU graduate is decorating her first apartment with white couches and white walls and white tabletops. By the way, those plush white couches have not quite held up to the endless spills of coffee. And aside from the sofas, some of the locations have minimal seating so you may be waiting a minute or have to sit outside.
The branding is cute though with yellow cups and for valentines day they have pink lids. As for the coffee, its good! Especially if you want to try one of the specialty drinks. My favorite is the Rocket Fuel, which is no longer on the menu but is cold brew with a shot of espresso and cacao powder. No sugar and I have energy all day (and jitters too.) The avocado toast here is pretty iconic which huge slices of sourdough. If you are vegan the breads do have butter so be sure to ask for that off. They also offer alternative milks.
