I’ll be honest: I’m not a donut fan. Or at least I wasn’t, before I visited this neighborhood bastion of donut deliciousness. This is the quintessential neighborhood shop, packed with locals on weekend mornings, and sold out by lunch. Come early, enjoy the friendly vibes, and have yourself a delicious glazed donut—or chocolate, or whatever your preference—and start you day the right way.

I used to know these people when I was a younger person in his early twenties, or rather I used to know the daughter and son of the owners of the location. They used to be students of JK Wong Kung Fu Academy, a school that I had to leave due to finding out alot of bad things and one of those bad things is how these two people were used to feed information to someone who went out of their way to hurt and betray me and others and it was a long time ago when it happened.
The memories are still fresh even after four to five years of leaving the school and not being in contact with anyone, and it is all thanks to someone else. Every once in awhile, I get traumatic episodes of the pain and suffering I had to go through - it used to be daily but now it is bi-weekly.
The only reason why this review exists is to get stuff of my chest, being honest with my feelings, and try to move on. It's nothing against them personally though.
I was silent on the matter because what they did towards me was such a low-leveled and low-scaled thing. They pretended to be my friend on that someone's order, attempted to give me a low-paying job on their suggestion with no proper instructions and guidance, and talked with me not as a friend but as an asset to someone else.
They used to cook and bake donuts for the school, regardless if they're fresh and/or leftovers. Their donuts are undeniably one of the best because of the hard work the owners of the location put their heart into. I'm sure the two of them made the donuts very well when they helped out the owners.
Their creamed jelly donuts are the absolute best of the best, you've gotta try them out whenever you are in the area. They go well with coffee and milk - my parents liked them whenever I brought their donuts home.

OHHHHHHH their donuts ARE SOOOO DELICIOUS. I see and can understand why there is such a LONG line. But they REALLY NEED extra help in the front.I bet would help them to sell more of their items if they had someone to box/bag up, while the other person ring up. Because we have just pass them up when we can see there's a line out the door.But they ARE DEFINITELY selling some GREAT tasting ? donuts ???????

Such great people who work so hard to have delicious, calorie filled, legitimate donuts for us in the morning. Good ole donuts! Delicious, appreciated and variety too. Definitely our go too place on Saturday mornings when visiting here in Lake Highlands.
