The food and drink are actually really great! Still trying to figure out what the base of their chicken tacos are (it’s a brown base and off putting color and water wise but it is delicious!). Bar tender was decent. The only true thing I could knock about it (and anywhere that has it, honestly) is that awful sewage back up smell that permeates. I have zero clue how places don’t rectify this instantly because it can ruin a really great place. Maybe it was an off day for it. Will go again for the tacos alone.

Excellent place to host a bicycle club meet-up. They have been good to us for our monthly WRL social rides. There are even bike holders by the patio for the bikes without kickstands. The restrooms are always clean and big enough for getting cycling clothes on, and they have great creative selections of burritos and fancy drinks. The wait staff and bartenders are professional and act like they enjoy the work. It makes it easy to spend a little for a memorable meal. The food was filling enough to satiate after a workout around the lake.Parking: Shared with Bike Shop and cyclist oriented coffee bar.

I walked in with my seizure alert dog. A man begins walking towards me from behind and yelling “ma’am is that a service dog??!” I reply yes, she’s seizure alert. He replies, “Ok I look for a vest” (legally not required). He continues to walk behind me and when I step to the side to command my dog, the manager stands there and watches. I tell him he can pass and he says snarkily “no, after you.”Can we say CREEPY??!Unprofessional behavior, acting as if he was trying to catch us doing something wrong.Dear Mr. Middle Manager, you do know what you did is illegal, right?Food was subpar. Our waiter was great.
Love coming here! Good service and great food at a good price. Really like the outdoor seating.

We made a reservation to dine on the patio with our large dogs. A plate of dog biscuits were set on the table! Very dog friendly and accommodating environment. The special was seafood enchiladas. They were fantastic with just the right mixture of spices. The enchiladas were served with a mustard rice which complimented the main dish. The other diners enjoyed the chicken sandwich and BLT. The sides included sweet potato fries and tater tots. Both were perfectly cooked. We have been regular patrons of the Lake House and appreciate the management's attentiveness to their diners. Truly a neighborhood gem!

Located just a bit off the north end of the trail around White Rock Lake in an unassuming white block is the Lake House. The non pretentious vibe carries through to not only the interior but the back dog friendly covered patio as well. Anchored at its center by a local beer stocked U shaped bar. Staff is friendly and efficient- Heather seems to somehow see what is needed before you have a chance to ask.Food wise- fresh tasty fare. The menu descriptions are brief, so if you have particular allergies ? or items you wish to avoid you may want to ask your server for clarification; for example, the shrimp avocado salad (delish!!!!) comes standard with a 1000 island type dressing. Not detailed in menu. The shrimp is always perfectly butter tender and the avocado ? perfect ripe- I order without the dressing so those flavors are not masked. But that is my general style- not big on dressings- let the flavors come through. The point- first time I ordered I was disappointed to discover the dressing. Lol!As a real estate pro specializing in White Rock Lake area, Lake House is an excellent local haunt to share. No formalities. Broad appeal menu w yes an emphasis on fish. Ask what the days specials are, both food and drink. Weekends all day seem to get a bit crowded with post games or Lake workout groups chilling- which adds to the laid back vibe. Delish food will have you smiling.
