I went to have high tea for my birthday and I'm so glad I did! It was delicious and felt like you were in Europe rather than Texas. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't say this is kid friendly. It's a somewhat upscale restaurant and there's not really kid food available. Perfect for date night without the kids though.

One of the very best French restaurants we have found in all of Dallas. They have been in this location forever, food is always consistently excellent. I do recommend a reservation, especially on weekends. Never had a bad meal, service is always spot on. Update, back again for another meal, lunch this time... amazing as always!

Did not have a good experience here. My friend and I got very rude attitudes from the staff for showing up to our reservation for high tea claiming we had to book specifically for high tea on their website- there was no option for this on their website so we were denied high tea and they were so rude about it. We decided to stay for lunch regardless and the food was only okay. When the host realized that they did not, in fact, have a high tea booking option on their website she did apologize but I still would not go here again.

We love Lavendou! We have been coming here for years and have many fond memories - mother's days, date nights, birthdays, and celebrating our growing family. Charming French restaurant with fantastic food and service!

We have been coming for years because the food is always great, the service is first rate and it's a very welcoming environment. The only downside is the noise level. It's always loud - there are lots of hard surfaces to bounce the noise around. But that doesn't keep us away from- we just try to get an early dinner table or a late lunch seating.

We had brunch at Lavendou, and it was excellent. You have the full lunch menu option, which is very nice. They also offer a high-tea service, which seems to be very popular. My wife plans to attend one with a close friend shortly.

Wonderful evening out at Lavendou. The service was attentive, but not distracting. We started with tomato-basil soup. Trout Almondine and Dover sole for our Entree. A must is the Apple Tart for dessert. The wine we ordered was not available, so another bottle was offered. A pleasant surprise, it was less expensive than our original selection.

Overall it was a very good experience. The escargot was done very well, and so was the merlot butter ribeye. The waiter also recommended a cabernet to pair with my steak which was spot on, and complimented it perfectly. The dissapointment of the evening was the Duck. While the sauce was perfectly crafted, sadly the duck was over cooked and dry. This was our first time dining here, so we will definitely be back in hopes that this was just a one off night.

Lavendou is wonderful. The food is great and the service is outstanding. We happened to find this restaurant while driving down Preston. Couldn't get a table by just walking in, so made a reservation for the next week and it did not disappoint. When in the area of Preston and the Bush, it is our "Go To". We just love it!!

You walk in and the ambience is just so comfortable and you are very pleasantly greeted. The entire staff there is first rate as they are quite attentive without being overbearing. The wine list is more than ample for the average wine drinker (as that is the only perspective I can speak from) and their bar is quite ample for the non-wine drinker. As for the food, superb with no doubt, This is a must go to place.

Food was really good and we did not feel rushed. For everyday meals or special occasions, this is the place to dine. Loved the tenderloin and mushroom gravy. Salad was really good. We had 4 people and everyone complimented on the good food. We will be going back!
