Food was 10/10, service was 10/10, experience was 10/10. The chef came out after the tasting and wished my fiancé a happy birthday and then brought us 2 extra desserts for free! The waiter and chef were both very nice. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Chef Tracey never disappoints!! Beautiful night of food, drink and conversation with friends and clients. Don't sleep on the tomato soup with the little grilled cheese sandwich!!! My favorite spot in Dallas!!

Local was fabulous! Our cocktails were very good and unique! Our food was outstanding as well! Our server was lovely. It was a bit odd because we had the entire restaurant to ourselves on a Friday night but nevertheless, it was a great experience!

My husband and I went to Local for the first time tonight and everything was great! We received attentive, friendly service and the food was delicious. The ambiance was nice and I was glad that it was quiet so we were able to talk. Great date night spot! We ordered off the menu instead of doing the tasting menu but we may try that next time. They do not serve hard alcohol but they have wine, beer and “cocktails” made with wine. We got the sangria which we really enjoyed. Before the meal, they brought out an amuse-bouche which was a flavorful turnip soup. For entrees, we ordered salmon with pea mash and sea bass with risotto. Both entrees were awesome and cooked to perfection. We also ordered a side of beets which we loved. Finally, for dessert, we tried a couple of the ice cream flavors that are made in house. We ordered the mint chocolate chip that is made with fresh mint and the lemon flavor and both were delicious. They also brought out tiny shortbread cookies at the end. We were really happy with the entire experience and we'll definitely return again.

Chose this restaurant for my BD because it is consistently wonderful. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was spot on. The few negative reviews I've seen have been about the tasting menu which definitely takes too long so if you go, order the regular menu and I promise you will be happy.
Food is amazing!! Quiet part of Deep Ellum, don't sleep on this place! Everything was so good but the homemade mint chocolate ice cream and Texas Honey Spice cake were out of this world!!
