This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any business.
The door guy was incredibly rude and disrespectful, with absolutely disgusting manners. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this experience was unacceptable.
Their customer service has gone completely downhill. This place used to be good, but that’s no longer the case.
It’s truly shameful that a business in Highland Park would put someone so unprofessional and ill-mannered at the front door. Very disappointing.

Went on Monday night. Ordered a drink, lobster bisque, chopped salad and a roll. I love the flavor of the foods and drink. They're delicious. A little pricey but it's in Highland Village so it's normal.

I’d like to report an ongoing issue with a security staff member named Brandon. On a recent visit, my friend and I were denied entry by him approximately 20 minutes before midnight. He was extremely rude and told us he would have all access to us blocked. He also said he had security positioned at each entrance and made it clear that we would not be allowed in under any circumstances.
This is not the first time he has treated us this way—Brandon has denied us access on more than one occasion, and his tone has consistently been dismissive and aggressive. What’s especially concerning is that, just moments before our interaction, he allowed a white couple in without any issue.
Given that my friends and I are Middle Eastern, and this pattern of treatment has happened repeatedly while others are granted entry without trouble, I am beginning to feel that we are being racially discriminated against. This is deeply upsetting and unacceptable.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and looked into thoroughly. Everyone deserves to be treated with fairness and respect, regardless of their background.

It takes a lot for me to write a review. So with that in mind… I will never return to this place. My friends and I came here for dinner and drinks and this establishment is so unorganized and the staff is RUDE. we waited in line for an hour. And the whole time we were waiting the bouncer took several bribes and let all of his buddies cut the line. As several people came out my two friends and I are still waiting with no updates or explanations. When we will finally went upstairs there were so many empty tables with reserved signs on them but when asking management they said that it would be another 2 hour wait. When we explained our issues they shrugged their shoulders and didn’t care. I highly suggest NOT coming here unless you’re willing to grease the bouncer to get in or willing to wait hours on end. The only workers who showed us kindness and hospitality was our waitress Lexi and the sushi chef.

If you’re a person of color, know what you’re walking into here. This place screams ‘selective seating’ in the worst way. It’s supposed to be first-come, first-served, but we watched people (mainly white groups and bachelor-type guys) get whisked past the line while we were still waiting. The message was loud and clear — some faces get seats faster than others. The vibe was not welcoming at all. Dallas has too many spots with better food, better service, and no need to play guessing games about whether you’ll be treated equally. Spend your time and money somewhere that respects everyone the same.

Extremely disappointing experience.

My coworkers and I were visiting from out of town and stopped by Lounge 31 after dinner in Highland Village, just looking to enjoy a final glass of wine. The vibe seemed great from outside — upbeat music and a lively atmosphere.

But once we sat down in the bar area, things took a strange turn. After being served water, we were told — completely out of nowhere — that only one of us would be allowed to order a drink. When we asked why, the server told us we had “already had too much to drink,” which couldn’t have been further from the truth. We each had one drink with dinner.

Apparently, they assumed we were over-served because we were laughing. Not being loud, not bothering anyone — just laughing like normal human beings. When we pushed for clarification, the staff doubled down with a condescending, “We’re experienced enough to know.”

What kind of policy is that?

We were treated with zero professionalism or courtesy. Instead of a welcoming lounge, it felt like we were being judged the second we walked in. Completely inappropriate, especially for a place that positions itself as upscale.

We left feeling uncomfortable and honestly embarrassed — not because of our behavior, but because of how we were treated.

Will never return and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone visiting Dallas.

I wanted to highlight Isaac for going above and beyond and escorting me to my car that was across the parking lot with an umbrella when it was raining yesterday. I love Lounge 31 for its atmosphere, drinks, and food, but will always return for its incredible, welcoming staff.
