Came to celebrate a birthday! Daniel the sushi chef and Vincent our server were fantastic! The tai with ume was incredible as well as the miso cod. Finished off the meal with the milk donuts which were delightful. The host was not friendly nor welcoming, tried to sit us at the lounge despite noting on the reservation we wanted bar seating.
Nobu is usually wonderful, but on this visit we weren't impressed! We didn't get a table in the main dining room because supposedly they were reserved for guests, even though we had a 5:30 reservation. When we left at 7:30, the tables were still empty! My miso black cod was too fishy and was overcooked! Then they charged $2.00 for some spicy mayonnaise!!
We were celebrating a birthday. Even though we had mentioned on the phone that we needed an individual desert with candle for the birthday girl, it was not delivered. Disappointing. The service was very basic, nothing special for a birthday celebration.
