Ordered the deviled eggs, charcuterie board, buttermilk biscuits and sausage, fried French toast, and chicken fried steak stack. We also ordered some cocktails. The deviled eggs were very bland. They were supposed to have hot sauce on them. Only 2 eggs had a small drizzle. The charcuterie board was simple, but everything meshed well. I would order it again. Personally, I do not like biscuits and gravy. Everyone else really liked it. The French toast, battered and fried, was not dense. The blueberry syrup was not overly sweet. I took a small bite, and then another, and then another. I really liked it. The chicken fried steak was hands down the best thing we ordered. They use Panko for the breading, and it works. The eggs well cooked well. The duck fat gravy was very tasty and creamy. The cfs is definitely in my top 3. The cocktails were ok. The mimosas were strong, but they were not consistent on taste. My bloody Mary was ok. I wished it had been spicy, even a little. I don't know what mix they used, but it was a bit bland. In their defense, we walked in right as they opened. Maybe they were caught off guard because the place was dead the entire time we were there. Maybe 2-3 other tables? It's a shame because brunch was fantastic. The restaurant has a lot of charm and beautiful. I love dimly lit places. I'm definitely coming back for dinner. The place was very clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They need a little work on their drinks, but nothing that would keep me away.
We were seated on the kitchen side- so dark I literally couldn't see my (pricey) food. Waitress was overly attentive. I took my salad home, and in full light - not a great presentation and average taste. The place itself has a great vibe, reminded me of a old glamorous spot of 50s or 60s.

I'd really give like a 3.75. The atmosphere is nice. The service was pretty standard. The cocktails are good a couple bucks cheaper than other fancy places.
The fried green tomatoes were fresh, but just nothing that special. The Brussel sprouts allegedly had a soy chili glaze, but I couldn't taste it. Brussels were probably a little under.
Hanger steak was good, but they cook them has 4 2oz pieces which is odd. You do get a lot of crust which is nice.
Prices are really good a steak and fries for $26 is hard to beat. Although I would have paid extra if they had a 12oz option on the steak.

Came in the last hour for a drink. Nico was a great bartender. Loved the color scheme and decor. Lighting was perfect not too bright and warm. It feels like golden hour in a bottle.

So bad. Once a gem, but the menu hasn’t changed in years, fortunately the decor is holding up; don’t eat the fish.

I booked a Friday night Date reservation at Lounge Here and let me just say, this place is a total sleeper hit. From the outside, you might think you’re walking into a speakeasy… no flashy signs, just a quiet, unassuming exterior. But step inside and you’re instantly somewhere else. Think 70s Miami lounge, all retro-glam with moody lighting and cozy corners. The vibe is strong!
The service? Spot-on. Welcoming, attentive, never overdone. They know what they’re doing here. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which I’ve got a soft spot for in general, and these were some of the best I’ve had in a very long time, well probably since I lived in Mississippi. Thick-cut and almost steak-like, they held up beautifully and had the kind of crunch-meets-savoriness that makes a first bite memorable.
For the main course, we split the shrimp and grits. Out of this world. Creamy, balanced, just the right hit of richness and spice. It’s the kind of dish that makes you stop talking mid-conversation just to appreciate what’s happening on your plate.
Cocktails were well-crafted and not overpriced, which feels rarer and rarer these days. Every sip felt considered, and everything, from the glassware to the lighting, worked together to give this place, a definite feng shui, to make the whole night feel intimate and easy.
If you’re looking for a place to take someone you actually want to talk to, Lounge Here hits the mark. It’s warm, nostalgic, and romantic without trying too hard. I’ll definitely be back. Great spot to take a date, but not your first date!

A whole vibe🔥. Perfect for date night or late drink. I’ve been coming to Lounge Here in Garland, TX for about 6 years now and it never disappoints! Perfect spot for any occasion — whether it’s a casual night out or something special. The ambience is always calm and inviting, the service is phenomenal every time, and the food is consistently great.
My personal favorites are the mac & cheese and the Brussels sprouts — both are amazing. My sister swears by the chicken fried chicken! Their happy hour drinks are stellar too. Definitely one of my go-to places in the area!

Brought a friend here from out of town and was more than disappointed, and that’s being nice. The service was awful, the food same. We were overcharged for a bottle of wine… just a bad experience overall. I have been there in the past when they first opened and this certainly is not the same. We did get comped for the wine at the end but that did not compensate for the experience. Will not be returning.
Restaurantji Recommends
Host had appeared to have zero experience and seated without adding to the atmosphere. Empty room, but seating everyone right next to a table of two instead of using enjoy tables.
Server had little knowledge of menu and could not even put in the simple request of no bell peppers.
In addition, she didn't have clear communication with cooks regarding dairy allergy.
While it was ok. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want anything of the ingredients verified or omitted.
I ordered one dish and was given a different main dish. Transparency would have been appreciated before bringing a plate to the table.
Atmosphere was fun and enjoyable... Until more people were seated 18 inches from our table.
Several employees were focused on social time with other staff rather than serving.
Let's start off with the good!
Service, ambiance, and atmosphere were pretty good. It is a good place to talk and vibe out with someone over a drink.
The food could use some work.
The shrimp were pretty good from the shrimp and grits, but the grits were undercooked, and the sauce lacked depth of flavor.
The mussels were just ok.
The devil eggs have the potential of being really good, but the hot sauce on top overpowers the devil eggs. Little less would be more for this appetizer.
Great place - atmosphere, food & good happy hour!
Good food and lots of drinks options
I don't hate the place. But it is an expensive happy hour if you have snacks. Fried green tomatoes, three slices. That means a table of four is subdividing tomato sluces. Service is excellent, though. And the appetizers we tried were excellent. Just needlessly small for the price.
