So I finally got a chance to try Lubbies today and I have to say I am rather disappointed. The service was fine and the staff friendly, but the bagel was the deal breaker. I may be spoiled, as I have eaten many a bagel from New York. A good bagel should be a bit toasty, AND it should have a decent chew on the inside. That is the balance that my everything bagel was sorely lacking. The bagel I experienced was like chewing on leftover pizza crust. I'm not even sure that bagel was made this morning. This is unfortunate, since the shop is close to home.

Great selection of sandwiches and of course the tasty boil n bake traditional bagels.

I don’t write reviews. I’m constitutionally against trusting the opinions of the masses, and the idea that those opinions can make or break a business. Which is why I have to make an exception for Lubbie’s. Their’s approaches the platonic ideal of bagel. It’s the gold standard in Dallas, and I’ve tried them all. The lox—smoked in house and cut to order— is moist and smoky, better than anything you can get in a package (or at any other bagel shop in town). And the cream cheese! I don’t know what it is, but it’s beautiful too, it makes all other cream cheese taste like glue. They have put so much thought and care into every detail of their menu and it shows, no corners cut. Meets the nostalgic approval of my New Jersey-raised husband and my New Yorker father. Nothing else comes close. The only thing that wouldn’t pass muster in the city is the speed of service, but the staff makes up for it with their charm.

Maybe my mistake was going accidentally when it was very busy. I didn’t have the best experience but I would try again on a less busy day/time. Kinda expensive in my opinion for a lox bagel but it wasn’t bad. I was not a fan of the salt bagel since i don’t love overly salty things but I wasn’t sure what it was when I picked it tbh and had seen a review recommending it.

It was our first time going. We chose it because they had the vegetarian Krabby Patties. They exceeded our expectations! The burger was well portioned with fresh toppings. The side of smashed potatoes and aioli dipping sauce were a nice touch of gourmet and the lavender blueberry Italian soda was heavenly! They even came in cute Sponge Bob meal boxes. We didn't realize it was close to closing but everyone was friendly and patient and kind. I feel particularly grateful because I've seen others post about their Sponge Bob meals that looked underwhelming at best. It was a lovely visit. ❤️??

Good service, nice atmosphere! Bagels are toooo tough for my liking. Lots and lots of chewing. I love a NY bagel, but this wasn't the same.

I'm so bummed to only give 3 stars because the bagels/schmears are definitely 5 stars!! I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go (Mishigas! on a sun dried tomato bagel recommended by the friendly, knowledgeable cashier who took my order). I got halfway home to find the sandwich was on a plain bagel and was missing the egg white and provolone. For a $14 sandwich missing very key ingredients, I have to give quality control in the kitchen 2 stars. If I rated only what I received - and if it were what I had ordered - it would have been 5 stars. Your food is fantastic! Attention to detail is lacking. I'll give it another shot when I'm back in the area. It's definitely worth a second chance!

Tried Lubbies, didn't care for the bagels,2 of the 6 I got were doughy, the pumpkin with the crunch was dry and with the medium jalapeño cream cheese have to almost $22.00. The price w as to high. I'll stick with Panera.

The place was nice but a little small. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside as well. They were very quick in getting the order out, but the sandwich was a tad on the small side. It was however prepared well and was very delicious. The flat white was very good, but the Italian soda needed more carbonation I think. Otherwise the place was good and would recommend for people who like bagels.

Bagels are hearty, with crispy outside, soft, moist inside, and the blueberry cream cheese and breakfast bagels are overflowing with goodness!
