This is authentic.!!Sooo this is the first Vietnamese restaurant of Dallas run by a lady and her mother. The story of this person is very heart touching and how still she is running the restaurant. As the story is the good will also tasty. The have good variety of veg option and good variety of non-veg options. Must try food if u love Vietnamese cuisine. The peanut souse with spring rolls I loved it. ????

Food was fine. Service was poor. Instead of being genuinely greeted, my friend & I were questioned with if we were eating there as if we were in the wrong place. We waited for about 15-20 minutes before we were even greeted by our waiter. No “Hi, hello” nothing. Meanwhile, there’s a couple seated across from us receiving a much warmer approach from our same server. She constantly checked on them and was a great server to them, but to my friend and I, we obviously felt isolated and unwelcomed. It’s 2022, treat all of your customers with equal respect.

The food was great. I would definitely go back again. The service was a little unsatisfying, but due to authenticity, I obviously let it go. The chicken and beef pho were excellent. I went out on a limb and tried their soy milk beverage. I’m not a fan of milk, but THAT was really good and would recommend. Overall, the experience was great and I would go again!

Pho is good. VERY slow service and relatively small food portion.

I came here because i was craving phở, and this definitely hit the spot. I ordered the phở bồ viên (meatballs) and it wasn't my mom's phở, but pretty close. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered a lot of Vietnamese dishes that most other Vietnamese restaurants don't offer, such as bánh xèo (Vietnamese pizza). Unfortunately, they ran out of flour, so I wasn't able to order it. But, the lady was super sweet and told me she would go buy flour soon so that I could try it next time. It was just nice to see that it was an option, and now that I know I don't have to wait until the next time my mom makes it and go all the way home, I'll definitely be back to order it :)

Neighborhood staple, hole in the wall with great food for 40 years and dedicated service. Ambiance not so much. BYOB is nice.

Ordered the Pho (beef) to go. Terrible. No sauces. Meat is dry. Broth is average at best. Really disappointing.

Y'all know I had to come back for a larger portion of the hoanh thanh. Needless to say, it was great as expected.

This is more of a customer service review. I walked in and stood there for 5 minutes. I wanted to give it a chance so I sat down for another 5 minutes. A lady was there and semingly working, but at the same time, refusing to acknowledge my presence. At a total of 15 minutes, I walked out as someone becan to unload product from a car. She then came out and started messing with the door and came out to bark orders at her help. I thought she was going to call me back in which I wanted to give her a chance to do so, but she let me get in my car and drive off. Went across the street to the Thai restaurant. In and out with delicious food. I guess Mai's isn't in business to make money. That was a very odd experience for me and I will not go there again.

As a Vietnamese person who grew up in Vietnam & clearly knows good Viet food, this place was so disappointing. The Bun Bo Hue was served w vermicelli noodles instead of the traditional thicker noodles. Soup was SO BLAND. I asked for the ot sate which is chili traditionally eaten w bun bo hue & they didn't have it. Please save yourself the money & go to bistro b or other Viet restaurants. Duc Chuong is my fav for bun bo hue I just didn't feel like making the drive. There were also 5-6 thin slices of meat & I ordered the extra large. SO DISAPPOINTING.

BYOB. Fried shrimp, fried egg roll, imperial shrimp roll. Crispy bottom chicken clay pot.

My absolute, hands down, favorite meal of my life!!!! The Chicken Curry Clay Pot (44A) is beyond delicious!!! Every bite is wonderful and just when you don't believe it can get any better, you discern the crunchy rice the has cooked to the side of the clay pot. I do not have words to describe it.Great staff, always good food. There were 4 of us dining.

Great Vietnamese, loved their soup. Not your regular old Vietnamese restaurant with basic Pho. Lots of lemongrass dishes, and has been in business for 38 years. Simple dining area, great fresh made food!

Jumbo size here is a medium size in other places. Very small serving. Food taste is average. A order of spring roll has only one spring roll. They always come in pairs in most places. No Asians ate at this place when I was there... not coming back

Do NOT order take out or delivery from Mai’s. This is the SECOND order that has completely ruined because of the lack of diligence in their packing. The first time the uber driver’s car was ruined and they also left out the condiments -necessary for when you are ordering pho! Dining in is just ok, the service is horrible, but the food is unique and good.
