I recently visited Malai Kitchen with my two best friends, and the service was amazing. We were attended by Javier and Lily, who were incredibly kind, attentive, and fun. They gave great recommendations and made us feel comfortable from the moment we sat down. My friends and I are very indecisive when ordering, and they patiently guided us through the menu and helped us make our decisions — and we ended up loving what we got.
There was also another staff member (I didn’t catch her name) who noticed our table was a bit wobbly and immediately fixed it without us even asking. The whole team is amazing!
The customer service here is truly 10/10. Javier and Lily were funny, sweet, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Overpriced and underwhelming is how I would describe Malai Kitchen. The food was not delicious or even close to it. Sour seemed to be the flavor of the day. The mint and especially tamarind chutney were sour tasting that was served with the beef samosas. The samosas were a bit dull. The tom ka also tasted sour. The waiter, Matt, was pleasant and accommodating. We received above average service. He was attentive. The prices for virtually everything on the menu, compared to other Thai restaurants we frequent, were noticeably higher. The atmosphere was uninspired and needs a refresh. We will not be returning.

Malai has become one of our go-to restaurants. We specifically love this locations atmosphere. We are a family of people who gravitate towards ordering the comfortable and known dish, but here are forced to decide as every dish is terrific. Their specials are consistently good and nuanced.
