This another hole in the wall kind of places that has great food. My server was great and attentive. The decor inside was nice looking. The outside looks like it has been here a while.

I chickened out and ordered the CFS with mashed potatoes, baked squash, Mac and cheese. My wife ordered the meatloaf, Mac and cheese, greens and baked squash. CFS was ok, nothing outstanding. My wife's meatloaf was excellent. Squash so-so, other vegetables were very good. Chocolate Pie was just ok. Definitely good for the price.

First time visiting but not the last. The food was fresh and hot. The service was excellent and attentive. Couldn't beat the prices. It was an old-fashioned mom and pop kind of restaurant. Loved all the old sayings along the top of the wall and the family pictures.

Very eclectic quirky kinda vibe, the kind of I'm place youd run into a Mr Rogers lookalike and a Korean Liza mineli. It's just works

A true Dallas classic, with a history as rich as its confections, desserts, and tea, this country diner is bound to leave you ordering an extra plate to go. Literally feet away from both the Strand pedestrian/cyclist trail that shadows the Trinity River's course from downtown and the up-and-coming avant-garde Design District, this down-home diner typifies the Dallas aesthetic. Amidst the glimmering and ultra-futuristic geometry of art galleries and high-rise luxury apartments, it sits unabashedly as an echo of the city's roots. No stay in the Design District is complete without an obligatory visit to this one-of-a-kind iconic local haunt.Kid-friendliness: Family-centric you will find no shortage of booster seats and the staff is more than accommodating.

Atmosphere was more like a family restaurant than a diner, but that was fine with me.Who doesn’t love a “Meat and 3”?! Meatloaf was decent but maybe a bit too “sweet”? I need more of a ketchup taste. The sides were standard but no less than what was expected. Great cornbread.

Great breakfast spot! I got the French Toast which was perfect. Our daughter got the veggie only and has brown which she said was very good. Our son got bacon,gravy/biscuits and pancakes which he devoured. Busy place,so you may have to wait a minute for your food.

DO NOT ORDER ON UBER EATS AND EXPECT YOUR FOOD DELIVERED WHEN PROMISED. I chose this restaurant strictly based on a 10-20 delivery time. Never have I waited so long for scrambled eggs. I called two times for an update and was told "couple more minutes". I never got to eat the food because of the hour long wait time. (Traveling for business)
