1000/10 tacos! Tripas, cabeza, al pastor, and carne asada — all cooked perfectly with lightly fried tortillas, fresh onions and cilantro, and incredible salsas I’d buy by the container. Friendly staff, quick service, and an ice-cold Mexican Coke made it perfect. Seating and location aren’t the best, but the food is absolutely worth the stop.

Great little restaurant off the beaten road. Fresh ingredients quick service, great authentic Mexican menu. I highly recommend it, outdoor seating. Plenty of parking.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to find a place that reminds me of the street tacos I grew up with back in CA. I’m not much of a Tex-Mex person, so it’s been a little far and few in between since we’ve lived in TX where we’ve been able to find actual street tacos that we actually liked. This place did not disappoint! Thanks to the power of social media, this was a high recommended place and the best part… we didn’t have to wait until noon to enjoy tacos!
Although their hours said 10am, be prepared to wait a little while because it doesn’t seem like they were quite prepared at 10am. I had placed an online order and it said it would be ready for pick up by 10:30, and unfortunately we didn’t get our food until close to 11.
Nonetheless, the food made up for it. We an order of the Chicken Flautas which were delicious! It’s loaded with fresh veggies and their salsa paired perfectly with it. Then of course got the street tacos (Cabeza, Pastor, Mix Fajita & Bistek, and Tripas y Lengua). All were amazing! They did not skimp on the meat, and I love that we didn’t have to request for fresh onions & cilantro like we’ve had to do in the past.
Meats Ranked from Best to Least:
1. Tripas y Lengua
2. Cabeza
3. Pastor
4. Fajita & Bistek
Regardless of their rank, we will most definitely be back for more delicious tacos!
Insanely good! Prepare to sit outside or take to go— but everything we had was awesome. The salsa verde was great and the sopas were killer. Price is a little high for the ambiance and the portion sizes but the food was great and we’ll be back.

The food here is amazing and the closest I’ve felt to home (Chicago) while in Texas BUT pricey!
Staff is not very welcoming, their greeting was dry and we were abruptly told as we started to look at the menu “at this time we have nothing fried” it was barely about to be 8pm (they close at 10pm), it almost sounded impatient.
I had been here once before and even though I can’t remember the service I do not remember being this dissatisfied. Please work on customer service, the food is delicious and very expensive to be treating customers like this.

I'm a bit surprised this place has so much talk about it online...? Their flavor is mid at best... Expect a 20~minute wait for your tacos, if not longer during meal hours. I wouldn't drive out of my way to get them if they were located further from my apt. I just want to mention something completely out of their control - the homeless trippin people lingering on the corner of this lot are SUPER unnerving to watch. It doesn't feel safe, they're loud & unruly, it's super unpleasant to see & SMELL them when trying to enjoy a meal

Great tacos and service

Sad their quality has dropped from a couple years ago. They’ve completely changed their tacos from when they received their award. Double fried tortillas to now a single dry tortilla. Fajita used to be soft and now you can barely chew it… only thing that’s the same is the salsa. Inside was always crammed but now the ceilings leak and the floor is covered in water.

Some of the best lengua and pastor tacos I’ve had. Horchata was a bitttt too sweet for me, but I’d make the drive here again just for those delicious tacos. Staff was super friendly and helpful

Mami Coco is the crown jewel of East Dallas. This place is the king. No question, these are the best street tacos I’ve had in Dallas.
I usually come here once a week. I always get the three desebrado tacos, and then I switch it up with either cabeza, bistec, or fajita beef. The desebrado is perfectly seasoned and cooked every time. The flavor is unreal.
They dip the corn tortillas in fat before grilling them, which gives them that perfect texture. Then they hit them with a big scoop of onions and cilantro. Simple setup, but it hits hard.
This might be one of the biggest hole-in-the-wall spots you’ll ever come across. If you didn’t know what you were looking for, you might drive right by. But once you try it, you get it. The tacos do all the talking.
I’ve had the chicken flautas too. They’re solid. A nice, nostalgic snack. I’ve also tried the quesadillas, which are really good. But honestly, you come here for the tacos. That’s where the magic is.

If you are coming here because of the yelp review, turn around. 😂 The person that gave it the award must have been drunk or on drugs. Honestly, they're your normal gas station type tacos. Nothing to see here. I've traveled all over Mexico and the US trying tacos. These are average. Not bad, but definitely NOT the best in Dallas.
