My first experience with Mendocino farms deserved 5 stars for food, but 2 stars for service. I ordered the pork belly banh mi, arrived at the estimated pickup time...and waited another 20 minutes, along with a number of other customers, as the kitchen was far behind. The sandwich, however, was delicious, with tangy vegetables pairing perfectly with the fatty pork. The bread was warm and excellent, though not traditional for the sandwich.
Other experiences have been more mixed. The Thanksgiving sandwich had only one texture: soft, though, it was flavorful enough.
The not-so-fried chicken sandwich had a pleasant crunch and was a good sandwich, though perhaps not quite as similar to the real-deal as it makes itself out to be.
The turkey-avocado club sandwich was solid, with the sauce providing the needed punch. The vegetarian caprese sandwich was a highlight, with high quality ingredients and a good pesto.
The peruvian steak sandwich simply didn't live up to its name and was rather one-note and flavorless, especially without the sauce.
The vegan banhi mi was a total disappointment. The sandwich, it turns out, definitely needs the fatty pork to complement the other ingredients. The tofu was prosaic and didn't cut it.
The service did, fortunately, improve after the first visit, with the time estimator generally being just about right.
Final verdict? These sandwiches are above-average grab-and-go fair. Do they justify the price tag, which is often $3-4 more than comparable restaurants? Depends on the item and your budget. the menu is uneven, but several items were delicious.

On Monday 11/18 my wife, my daughter and I went to this place for lunch. My daughter who works in downtown Dallas told us that she had 30-35 minutes for lunch. After ordering and scanning the QR code at the table to let them know where we were sitting, we started a conversation. After a while, when I went to the counter to inquire about our order, I was told that the "production team/crew" never received the order and they will start working on the order right away. I went back to my family with the news while everybody was checking their phone for time. after 5 minutes, we were told that they had run out of turkey and if we would like chicken instead. We went to the cashier and the cost of the food plus the tip was returned to us and we left. To the management, - Please investigate and find the root cause of this problem so you can prevent it from happening again. - It appears that you do not utilize the functional data of your business. How can you run out of a popular ingredient on a Monday start of the week. Another process issue that could be improved.

I came here for lunch and came back again for dinner! I had the chicken street corn sandwich at lunch, and the happy hippie for dinner. The happy hippie was the best veggie sandwich ever. So full of flavor, and packed full of veggies. The gouda macaroni salad was also so delicious. I typically don’t care for pasta salads, but this was so good that I’ve been trying to find a recipe.

Ok I’m a total salad snob, I travel the world for work and I try healthy foods and salads every where. This restaurant popped up in my google search as 6 minutes from my hotel. I walked over, I needed a no carb option. Evelyn the welcoming and excited manager helped me sort through the possibilities and I decided on the mango salad, as a to go order. While I waited I watched the kitchen workers toil enthusiastically on my salad. It took a little longer than I expected but I kid you not, it was the best salad I ever had. Wow!! What an explosion of flavors, the mango was super fresh, the nuts, the mint leaves the different crispy vegetables and the dressing were all incredible. Evelyn described it to me as super flavorful and as her favorite. I will definitely be back!! I can’t wait for my job to send me here again!!

Despite being located downtown, can’t handle the lunch rush. Placed an online order at 11:15 for a Noon pickup and food wasn’t ready until 12:35. There were 30 other people crowded in there waiting for their orders as well. If they can only handle a certain number of online + in person orders then maybe start limiting slots for online orders (especially during lunch) so their staff isn’t fielding more orders than they have capacity to handle timely. Love their sandwiches but the wait was disappointing.
