Had such a wonderful experience at Mexican Sugar yesterday! I went on a date and everything was perfect. Our waiter, Mario, was absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly, and made our evening amazing. The food was delicious, the drinks were on point, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is so inviting. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and excellent service!
We had an amazing experience at Mexican Sugar Uptown! They went all out on service for my bridal brunch! 10/10 recommend
Loved this place! Was looking for a nice date night spot with good Mexican food and loved it. Will definitely come back!
Our waitress, Gabby, was awesome making our dinner seamless and exactly what we needed prior to a tight schedule. The music was too loud for conversation thus requested a lower volume for us. Food quick and deliciously prepared.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful space with an incredible atmosphere. The multi-level design and dramatic staircase make the whole experience feel elevated, and the city views at night are such a vibe. Drinks were well-crafted and fresh, and the energy was lively without being overwhelming. Perfect spot for a girls' night, date night, or celebrating something special. Will definitely be back.
My lobster enchiladas did not have that much meat and they were not full and I told the waitress and I know I spent a lot of money here I spent over $100 with the tip and it was just OK
This restaurant was fantastic! Food was delicious, we had a very nice server who was cognizant the wait was a bit long, and the drinks were fantastic! Great location and plan to come back.
Great dining experience very happy with the food portion and just a cool vibe for a 30+ crowd
I made a reservation for my birthday with a group of friends. This was our first time there. Drinks were ok. Drinks took forever to make it to our table. I had ordered ceviche as an appetizer which tasted way different than what I'm used to. For the entree I ordered enchiladas. Not the greatest. The chicken still had some fat in it, not only that but it still looked pink. I was like I'm done. Our server was fine at first then towards the end he pretty much forgot about us. Then it took forever to close out our tab & they didnt want to split the check due to the original party size being 9 but ended up being 7. Which was wild to me cause they still added their own gratuity on top of that. That didn't make sense to me but whatever. I wouldn't come back here again. It's over hyped for no reason honestly.
John very helpful with the menu. It was our first time eating at this restaurant. He helped us narrow down our choices. His recommendation was just what we both wanted. Everything he describe was that and more. The atmosphere was so beautiful and romantic. We can't wait to go on another date there. John is incredible

Waitress took over ten minutes to greet us. Appetizers came out with dinner. Desserts took over 15 minutes. Chicken and flan were not good at all.
Aye outside in November and it was lovely. I prefer the black beans to pinto and the cilantro rice with bits of corn was delicious. I usually pass over the beans and rice on Mx dished, but these were so edible
Highly recommended. Everything that we tried was excellent, margaritas were also good. Great for large groups. We had 14 and they accommodated us perfectly.
The service was terrible! I had to keep asking another server to find my server. While my kids food came out quite quickly. It took almost 25 mins for our chive to come out and the fish did not test fresh at all. At the end of the night when it was time to pay I had a 40 dollar dinner credit from open table. When I asked my server to apply it he went to grab a manager. When she came to my table she immediately said we don't accept that without even looking at it. I asked for a real manager. When he came by he said let me see if we take that. I don't think we accept the full balance. That makes no sense because it's literally a gift card to use towards my meal why would I not be able to use the full amount. When I told him how to apply it by simply typing it in like a regular credit card. He did and it worked. The simple fact that no one wanted to even try or just said we don't accept that. Really irritated me on top of the fact that the service was already horrible. This was all for my daughter 4th birthday. So very disappointing!
The service was absolutely wonderful — Mia took great care of us and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the same standard. Several dishes arrived cold and lacked seasoning, which was a bit disappointing. On top of that, there were quite a few flies and gnats around, which took away from the overall dining experience. Despite those issues, we still enjoyed our time thanks to the great service and pleasant atmosphere.
