Came here for a friend's birthday, and definitely enjoyed the experience. Service was solid and prompt despite it being packed on a Friday night and we got our food pretty quickly after ordering and well made too. It generally is tough finding vegetarian options at a Mexican restaurant due to use of chicken stock, lard, etc but they had a few options. The waitress recommended I get the Jardin, the vegetarian tacos, and they were honestly great - loved the taste and the rice and beans with equally as good. I definitely want to come back here and try their other dishes!
The only annoying part was the parking, which to be fair, they really do not have control over. I did not realize that you actually turn into the valet area and then there is a tunnel that leads to self parking underneath the entire building. The parking slip you get here is covered by the restaurant if you hand it at the entrance. I parked a block away, which was not covered, and had to walk and pay a lot unfortunately.

When it comes to one of the most important things in life, like, the best Salsa. Go to MEXICAN SUGAR.
It's served steaming hot. Has a flavor i didnt think was possible.
Proper technique includes: select a good chip then pluge it into the Salsa. Bring it to your mouth. Savor the complex combination of flavor, spice and temperature.
Wash away with a cold beer or craft margarita.
BTW, excellent atmosphere and staff

Overall the food and atmosphere was good. The service was excellent. Our food came out before we could finish our appetizer or first cocktail. My steak was cooked perfectly. Would try it out again!

Service was incredible today. The ambience and the atmosphere of the restaurant is a 10 out of 10 experience highly recommend for large parties or small gatherings. had the famous pork chop and it was packed with flavor and would highly recommend anyone drinks are creative. Taste amazing, and are strong. I would definitely come back to Mexican sugar for future occasions!

At first everything seemed fine, but when the food arrived, one of my friends found a fingernail in her plate. Our waiter Chris handled the situation with kindness and professionalism, but no manager ever came to our table to apologize or offer anything.
Later, while taking pictures upstairs in the outdoor area, a cockroach crawled on the birthday girl’s shoulder. That was the final straw and we decided to leave. Again, Chris was very apologetic, but he is not the manager—he shouldn’t have been the only one handling these issues.
Only as we were leaving did the manager approach us, briefly apologized, and said all drinks would be discounted. However, when I checked today, nothing was discounted, and the apology felt insincere since it was not made directly at the table.
The only positive note was Chris, our waiter, who truly tried to make us feel better. Sadly, the overall experience was unacceptable.

It was my first time visiting, and I chose this place because many of my friends recommended it for the vibes and the food. Overall, the food was great and it was a lovely way to celebrate my birthday.
That said, I do have two complaints: my friend found a fake nail in his food, and later while we were sitting and chatting, I felt something on my arm near my armpit—it turned out to be a roach.
The vibes really are great, but those two experiences were definitely off-putting.

Amazing food! Amazing server! First time here for my 6year anniversary and it was really good service by server Mary, she was on top of her game constantly checking on us and thanks to her we loved our pork chop and mole enchiladas, great recommendations! Manager Brent was very nice he checked up on us 2 times to make sure we were okay you can tell they prioritize customer service, I’ll definitely be back.
