Have been going to Mi Cocina for 30 years. The quality has really dropped off, especially at this location. I recently discovered Tacos mi Tierra, which is usually packed with flavor. From this location it tasted like stewed meat with boiled onions on soggy tortillas. My nostalgia for Mi Cocina is on its last legs.

Food looks delicious but tastes okay, nothing special and won't leave you dying to come back to taste what else is on the menu. Drinks taste like store bought soda poured from a 2 litre bottle. There's only 1 restroom so you have to wait in a line if you need to go.

This is a follow up to my previous review. After my poor experience, I met with Ivan and Alberto (managers) and they made things right. Very much appreciate the management at this place. The food and drinks are always great.
GIVE ALBERTO A RAISE!! One of the best servers we’ve had eating out EVER. Seriously so fun and made the meal 10x more enjoyable. Food was great, they were quick with getting us in and all around we had a great time.

My wife and I love coming here! The service is exceptional and fast. Our server Ashley was attentive to detail and made sure to help me go over the menu to make sure I could find something that fit my dietary needs. Definitely will be back again to enjoy a great date night. Thanks Ashley!

Ashley took care of me and my friends last night and we had a blast! All her Recommendations were amazing. plus the spicy jalapeno margaritas, and sunset fajitas that she recommended definitely hit the spot. We'll be coming back and asking for her 💯

I’m surprised: people talk about the great Mexican food here in the Southwest, and so far, I find I can get far more delicious, refined Mexican food in LA or even in New England. And the hype around “Tex Mex” is really mystifying: it seems to apply the same formula of BBQ to Mexican food: take really dry meat or chicken, slather it in some kind of really sweet or cheesy sauce, and call it “cuisine.” Mi Cocina is very nice, with reasonable prices and extremely attentive and kind staff. My flautas and Margaritas were well executed. But one of the highest rated Mexican restaurants in the Metroplex? Tell me what I’m missing!

The manager here is so rude! I ordered the kids quesadillas and our waiter wouldn’t serve me saying his manager would get him in trouble because I wasn’t young enough to eat off the kids menu. He went back and asked his manager to make an exception I saw her in the back giving me a dirty look. He obviously came back to the table and said she said no! Don’t come here if you like to order off the kids meal because you can’t finish big portions! Fix this!!
