Great food at the new location at Cypress Waters. Terrific hospitality- we enjoyed meeting Miriam herself as she came to greet us. Food is mild but flavorful. My favorite is the pork belly taco I got on the sampler plate. My husband enjoyed the short rib tacos as well. Ample portions as well.
We attended a private event at Miriam’s and had a wonderful experience! Miriam was present and it was a pleasure to meet her. She was very welcoming and grateful to see everyone. The service was outstanding, especially from the bartenders that kept their eye on everyone’s drink and offered refills. Drinks were delicious. The snacks, taco bar, and guacamole were excellent! The location in Dallas is convenient to a park/outdoor space. We appreciated the valet parking. This is the second time we ate at this establishment and look forward to returning!

Went for Cass birthday dinner.
We were escorted to a very tiny table close to the front door in a high traffic area.
Hostess knew that she is my sister and not my lover, so we do not need to sit that close together.
Not much leg room for two tall people.
The birthday girl chose the big elevated booth at the back wall near the kitchen, which I also adored.
Our Initial waiter was very rude, combative, angry, disrespectful and yelled at us as soon as we sat down.
We decided to ignore it since he was young and tired and exhausted looking. But after he became even more intense and rude, we prepared to leave and go to mi cocina across the street.
But Cass called for a backup waiter. The bald attractive waiter who resembled yule Brenner, understood grown-ups and customer service. The birthday girl was happy with his presence.
Her meal with roasted goat and gravy and plantain was absolutely fabulous looking and smelled wonderful.
She had me taste it and it did not disappoint.
As for my meal, i had a dinner of fish.
The restaurant on our end was pretty empty, so I took a couple of birthday pictures of her for her Keep sake album.
After eating, our new waiter was not around so I had an employee near by, use his card machine in order to pay the bill. Interesting...
I almost.
Felt like a celebrity with all of the long stares from the employees.
Thank god our uber was near to take us to Arthur's Supper Club for dessert, drinks and dancing.
I guess they forgot to ask us if we wanted dessert and another drink, which we did.
Service last year was friendlier.

When you automatically tack on a 20% tip then your wait staff just doesn’t care about good service and that truly showed here. No one cared, the hostess, the lady who sat us, nor the actual waitress. Don’t bring things out we asked for, didn’t follow up with us, couldn’t even get a coffee right. The food isn’t worth the trouble, even for the great ambiance.

The restaurant is clean and modern and nice, the food was alright, but it was tiny portions and absolutely not worth the price for food that's definitely not homemade.
So while it wasn't a bad experience, I wouldn't come back. $18 for two tacos on mission tortillas for a basic taco taste isn't worth coming back.

EXCELLENT food. We love Gloria’s and Mi Cocina. This really is a step above with more variety and a Dominican influence. We don’t often drive into Dallas but this place is worth the travel. There’s nothing like it near us.

I order the lobster enchiladas but there was no lobster in them it was actually crawfish tails. Very misleading and did not appreciate being lied to.

Creative but tricked up drinks... If it was better it might be worth it, but it was not. There are 100 other places I would choose before there.
Parking: Limited private valet. No validation option.
