We went with all his recommendations, which did not disappoint. The team truly cares about the details and remembered our special occasion (noted in the OT reservation). We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Mister Charles last night and it was perfect. The service was incredible from start to finish, and everyone made us feel taken care of. We asked about a tasting menu and even though they don’t normally have one, Chef Brendan Frankel put one together just for us with wine pairings, and every dish was spot on. He even came out a couple of times to check in, which meant a lot. The food, the wine, the vibe, all of it came together and made for an amazing night. Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner for my wife. Big thanks to the whole team for making it such a special experience.

I was so excited about this restaurant for my birthday dinner but the service was not up to par of what I would expect for a high end restaurant - much less one that is Michelin recognized... Food was overpriced and just felt like it was missing something. The dishes did not feel well thought out. I honestly felt really bad for asking my friends to come to a mediocre, overpriced restaurant. The only upside is that the light side of the restaurant was beautiful but unfortunately we were sat in the dark, dark side.

The over all experience was great. We went for our 25th anniversary and we couldn't have had a better experience. The place itself was very nice and had free valet. The cocktails and appetizers were excellent. My wife had a couple of mocktails and I had true cocktails. My favorite was the Root beer old fashion! We split the beef wellington as others suggested and it was perfect for both of us to share with a side. We also ordered the Chocolate Gateau, Caffè Latte Gelato for desert and it was to die for!!! We'll be back again for sure. Thanks to the staff for making our anniversary a great evening!!

We had an excellent dining experience at Mister Charles. My girlfriends and I got the Caesar salad (very unique and zesty), mushrooms (too delicious to order just one), corn beignets ( the crème fraiche is incredible), the truffle pasta (delish) and the ribeye (phenomenal). We also ordered three dovetails (delicious non alcohol cocktails). Ribeye was a bit on the saltier side, but it was cooked really well. My pieces were unfortunately very fatty compared to others but it was really great. I would definitely come back, our server was also wonderful! Reservation recommended.

I have been to a lot of restaurants. I was excited to try Mister Charles but it was underwhelming. I spent around $550 for two people and expected better. The wellington was solid but the bites, apps and salad was nothing special. Even the old fashioned was not in my top 10. Much better option at even less price point. For what I paid it should be the best across the board. Won't return.

The ambiance is very chic and moody - which I loved. It was a bit warmer than we would have liked - with the understanding that it is hot in Texas tho! But not a huge deal breaker.
Our waiter was lovely and very knowledgeable! The drinks were very good.
We ordered the carpaccio as our appetizer (although it was spicy, I didn’t mind it but my husband doesn’t eat too much spicy, so we sent it back and they remade it without the spicy sauce).
For dinner we ordered the scallops, beef Wellington and potatoes! We would order the beef Wellington again - it was yummy!
Overall I really did love our experience here but a few things that could use improvement.
Started with a cosmopolitan martini and it was one of the most well balanced cosmos I’ve ever had! For appetizers we got a couple of amuse buches but was disappointed as they were clearly not made fresh and had been sitting out and were cold. Definitely minus one star for that. Octopus appetizer was excellent. The highlight was definitely the Beef Wellington and was very surprised to find out they use short rib instead of filet. I still prefer a filet but they did it very well with the short rib. The spicy pasta was good but was overwhelmed with vegetables.
The dessert was okay.

Do not miss this special place in downtown Dallas. We had one of our top 5 dinners we’ve ever had. Cocktails, wine, service, and menu were all spectacular. The entrees were all fabulous highlighted by the A5 Wagyu steak which was magnificent. Executive Chef Brendan Frankel is a genius and so creative. Bravo to the entire staff!
