Mister Charles was a Michelin level experience. Our server, John Paul, and the supporting team took the whole evening over the top. My wife and I rarely go out of our way to recommend a restaurant but it’s been a week later and we’re still telling all of our friends and family that they must make a reservation.
I wanted to like this place, it had a lot of potential, but there were too many negatives for me to recommend this place to anyone.Getting seated was very quick, the hostess introduced us to our server and off we went to our table. The service overall was pretty good, but at times felt absent. The place in the restaurant that we were sat in felt like it was trying to be a nightclub, the lights were dimmed (not a bad thing) and the music so loud that everyone had to yell to each other to try to have a conversation, this added to the noise and took away a lot from the experience before even placing an order.We placed our order and anxiously awaited our food, the kitchen seemed well organized as our food arrived in a respectable amount of time. We ordered the carbonara, filet mignon, strip steak, pommes alligot, and broccolini. Starting with the carbonara, I wouldn’t even call the pasta dish a carbonara aside from it having a creamy sauce, they added some type of vinegar or acidic sauce that distracted from the flavor and was generally unpleasant, the pasta itself was well cooked though. From there the meats were quite good, however the sauces and sides were way over salted, I couldn’t stand more than one bite of the accompanying salad to my filet mignon as all I could taste was salt, the sauce that accompanied the filet was very fatty but wasn’t that bad. The Pommes Alligot were nothing more than mashed potatoes, my wife and I were very excited about the potatoes as Pommes Alligot is one of our favorite things to get in Paris, the Pommes Alligot here are nothing more than a loose mashed potato with creme fresh, not even a hint of cheese, let alone the super stretchy ultra rich Pommes Alligot that you would find in France. The broccolini was fine, nothing special, and my wife’s strip steak was good, but as I shared about the filet the meats are prepared well.This place is no where near worth the price they charge for the food. Our bill came to $260 before tipping with no drinks or dessert, a good step further price wise from other competing places that do much better in terms of service and food quality.I’d recommend taking your money elsewhere.

The AMBIANCE is everything at Mister Charles. Upon entering the doors, you're placed into a mood of calm and serenity. The restaurant is simply amazing. The staff was extremely attentive. The food was good, and Mister Charles offers dom perignon by the glass. I'm a coffee drinker, and their coffee is splendid.

Had dinner here last night and it was the best meal I’ve had in Dallas to date. The food was 10/10 but the service was 11/10. Our server (Tonia) made us feel like we were old friends coming to a restaurant we were regulars at, even though it was only our second time visiting. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Finally got to dine at Mister Charles after months of trying to snap a reservation, and it was everything I hoped for, the restaurant itself is fabulous, loved the themed rooms, we dined in the dark room, I will definitely be back to dine in the main dining room. The menu itself is simple and super delish. We had the capraccio and tuna crudo appetizers, the crudo was our fav. For dinner, we had the wagyu and the uni carbanara pasta, both were yummy, but especially the steak, very savery and cooked perfectly. Dont forget to leave room for desert, the bananas foster and chocolate cake were a must try. Overall a great experience and I recommend this new posh dining experience.
The food just isn't that good. They absolutely ruined my Dover sole. Though the appearance is nice, the comfort level of seating isn't great. The chair choice is very poor for a high end restaurant. It's like your are sitting on the floor. Need to be rethought.

Came here on a Tuesday around 5:30PM. Place is very nice and on the corner. Has valet. Traffic is pretty rough around that time. So I would suggest coming here after 7PM on weekdays. Not sure if their a dress code but I would suggest business casual or higher.The vibe inside is preppy. The service and waitstaff were terrific. The drinks were amazing. I do recommend the martini's. The tuna was fresh and tasty. I had the Beef wellingtons and wow. It did not disappoint. Tho if they removed mushrooms from it, I would give it a 10/10. Just not a mushroom person. Will def be back again.
