The best thing here is the amazing view. Drinks were good...foods was mid. Service was average. The hostesses you meet downstairs are wayyyy nicer and kind compared to the ones that sit you at the restaurant. They were not so nice.

Maybe my expectations were high based on the price, but this was a letdown. we ordered 1 bottle of wine, 2 salads, one pasta, and one entree. it was $300. the salads were good and the pasta dish was nice. I ordered the parm encrusted veal because the waiter recommended it. they pounded it so flat and breaded it so thick that I couldn't taste the veal. it tasted like breading. the asparagus was way over salted so generally a disappointment. nice atmosphere, but fair service as we had to flag down the waiter to refill wine and i requested bread twice for the pasta sauce and gave up because they never brought it. Would not eat here again.

Amazing experience! Upon arriving they give you a glass of champagne to take on the elevator up to the restaurant which is on the 49th floor. Phenomenal service, food, and drinks. Literally everything was delicious, my least favorite thing was the dessert, the flavors and textures were not too great but regardless, still an A+ as a whole.

Is it expensive? YES! But totally worth it! This is where you bring people to have a VERY exceptional experience! The food is out of this world. You will dream about it for months after. The wine list is fantastic and vast. THe decor and ambience are out of this world! They even gave us a glass of wine downstairs in the lobby while we waited for the last of our party to arrive. 5 stars ALL DAY!!!!!! This is one of the ALL TIME great restaurants.

Took my wife there for her birthday the service is good. Not breath taking but really good. The atmosphere is the star it's on the 49th floor you get a great view of the city. The food is also good but not exceptional. We started with the wood fire meatballs and octopus they were good. Then we had the oxtail pasta they go really cheap on the oxtail serving and the pasta dish overall was fairly decent. I had the 28 day aged Ribeye with bone marrow steak was good not great I enjoy knife and Dee lincoln way more. My wife had the lamb chops she said were Excellent with the carnival cauliflower she really enjoyed also. For dessert I had the chocolate peanut butter cake it was delicious overall I enjoyed the experience but not enough were I would go back again and again

The whole Monarch experience was phenomenal. All of the staff were great but there are a few people that were exceptional in their service.Our head server, Pepe, and his team made us feel as if we were the most important guests in the room. Pepe had an answer for every inquiry that we had regarding menu items. His suggestion of the Maine Lobster Spaghetti was a hit! We never had to ask for refills or the removal of plates because they were constantly waiting on our table.Secondly, the head of security, Don, pleasantly caught us off guard by not only alerting us of the observatory upstairs but also met us upstairs to make sure that we found the observatory ok. We shared a few minutes of conversation and felt that he genuinely just wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our walk around the observatory.Overall, we want to thank all of the staff, from check in hostess, to the chefs, to management, servers, and security for making our four generation family dinner unforgettable!

From Don greeting you once you exit the elevator to J.B’s professionalism and dedication to give you a great experience, the high level of service our server James provided on our honey dinner was second to none. Last night we had the pleasure of Hash providing a great experience for my nieces birthday, we could not have asked for a better night. If you’re looking for an unforgettable time with amazing food and a superb ambiance, the Monarch is head and shoulders above everyone. I did not enjoy my first experience at Monarch. Our server, Santiago made it seem like our meals came with sides only to find that they actually did not so we realized that when the bill came. When he brought our check, he unnecessarily stated that the gratuity was not included, as if we could not read the bill. We are young professionals and this was not our first time dining out. I've worked in the restaurant industry in the past and have never mentioned gratuity to anyone at the end of their meal. Very tacky. The food was alright for the most part, loved the meatballs and carpaccio.
